Changes kick in with Game Pass

Game Pass is preparing to welcome a new dungeon-crawling adventure while giving another intriguing Xbox game a wider audience, but there’s a bit of a downside to this week’s update, with several games heading for the exit before September comes to a close.

Minecraft Dungeons II arrives on 29th September as a day-one Game Pass release, while Keeper expands to Game Pass Premium on 2nd October. There’s also a sizeable list of games leaving the service on 30th September, so subscribers may want to take one last look through the library before these titles drive off into the sunset.

At A Glance

  • Minecraft Dungeons II – 29th September – Cloud, Console, Handheld and PC
  • Keeper – 2nd October – Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC
  • Games Leaving: Eight titles depart on 30th September

Minecraft Dungeons II Leads The New Arrivals

  • Platforms: Cloud, Console, Handheld and PC
  • Tiers: Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
  • Developer: Mojang Studios / Double Eleven
  • Publisher: Xbox Game Studios

A hero’s work is never done, apparently, and Minecraft Dungeons II is ready to send players back into the fray. The next chapter in the action RPG series promises a fresh adventure, with a new threat gathering strength and the world once again in need of saving.

Players can expect high-stakes encounters, challenging battles and previously unseen locations as they return to the Minecraft Dungeons universe. This sequel is shaping up to deliver another dose of dungeon-crawling action for those who enjoyed the original.

Arriving on 29th September, Minecraft Dungeons II will be available from day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. That’s one less reason to worry about paying full price before you’ve even sharpened your sword.

Keeper Opens Its Doors To Game Pass Premium

  • Platforms: Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC
  • Tiers: Game Pass Premium, Ultimate and PC Game Pass
  • Developer: Double Fine Productions
  • Publisher: Xbox Game Studios

Keeper is the other notable addition, although this one isn’t quite a fresh arrival. Double Fine’s surreal adventure is expanding to Game Pass Premium on 2nd October, having already been available through Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

This is a rather different sort of journey. Set on an island surrounded by a long-lost sea, Keeper begins with a forgotten lighthouse that awakens beneath a distant mountain. Joined by a spirited seabird, the lighthouse embarks on an unusual adventure filled with strange transformations, unlikely companionship and mysterious places.

Told without words, Keeper looks to deliver an atmospheric experience that lets its world do the talking. If you’ve been waiting for it to roll into your Game Pass tier, the wait is nearly over.

Eight Games Are Leaving Game Pass

It’s not all new arrivals, though. Eight games are preparing to leave the Game Pass library at the end of September. Think of it as the service’s equivalent of a clean out, as it makes room for the next arrivals.

If any of these have been sitting on your to-play list, now’s the time to give them some attention. Subscribers can also save on selected games before they leave.

  • Atomfall – Cloud, Console and PC
  • Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light – Cloud, Console and PC
  • Little Nightmares II Enhanced Edition – Cloud, Console and PC
  • Little Rocket Lab – Cloud, Console and PC
  • Sifu – Cloud, Console and PC
  • SOPA: Tale of the Stolen Potato – Cloud, Console and PC
  • Sworn – Cloud, Console and PC
  • Terminull Brigade – Cloud, Console and PC

Whether you’re gearing up for another adventure in the Minecraft Dungeons universe or finally getting behind the wheel of Keeper’s strange journey, there’s something new to look forward to. Just don’t leave those departing games gathering dust in the garage for too much longer.
