Embrace the cold snap as Ghostrunner gets new Winter Pack and Hardcore Mode

When Ghostrunner released on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PCX back in October, it received some rather great praise. Granted, it wasn’t perfect but our review commented on a great sense of movement, some super quick combat, and a fun take on visuals. Now though Ghostrunner is evolving, and as winter draws in we discover not just a new DLC pack hitting the game, but the introduction of a Hardcode Mode too.

Coming from 505 Games and All in! Games, Ghostrunner is a single player experience that is very much like no other. Full of fast paced, uber violent combat, an original world setting, and post apocalyptic themes, it’s an easy experience to become immersed in. Now, with the introduction of a Hardcore Mode present on PC, with launch on Xbox One and PS4 come December 17th and Nintendo Switch in January, things are getting even more hectic. Should you be looking for an extra challenge, one that will put your skills to the test, will alter levels, and provide access to tougher enemies, then tackling the Hardcore Mode in Ghostrunner is looking likely to be for you.

Further though and the latest DLC pack for the game – the Winter Pack – provides even more opportunity. This comes with a measly £1.49 price tag attached and will let you increase your cosmetic inventory, delivering both the Cold Snap Katana and Cold Blood Gloves. They may not quite change up the base game like the Hardcore Mode is threatening to do, but as a neat little end of year gift, it’s certainly worth consideration.

You’ll find the Winter Pack present in all the usual digital stores – Xbox, PlayStation and PC – with that of Nintendo Switch rolling out alongside the Hardcore Mode in January.

Hit up the latest trailer below if you wish to know more about what it brings.

DLC Description:

Ghostrunner is a hardcore FPP game packed with lightning-fast action, set in a grim, cyberpunk megastructure. Climb Dharma Tower, humanity’s last shelter, after a world-ending cataclysm. Make your way up from the bottom to the top, confront the tyrannical Keymaster, and take your revenge. Winter Pack: This pack will increase your cosmetic inventory. The holiday customized gloves and sword will give you a totally different perspective for the game.
