Hotshot Racing comes about via a triple team collaboration between Curve Digital, Lucky Mountain Games and SUMO Nottingham, with this obviously being a case of three minds being better than one. Priced at £12.79, if you’re after a look at the retro racing world, all with a bit of a modern day twist, this is one for you.

But tl;dr, this is a quality arcade racer. Complete with a deep career mode, time trial options, single races and a couple of fun Cops & Robber and Drive or Explode options, your time here will be spent racing, boosting, drifting, smashing and crashing your way through no less than 16 different tracks, each of which can be mirrored to enhance the overall experience. Your goal? Well, it’s time cross the finish line first, of course. With multiple AI difficulties in place, that won’t necessarily be easy.Â
With a stunning low-poly visual style, some cracking racing tunes to keep you going, and the ability to take your game online or across the local multiplayer scene, there is much to love about what Hotshot Racing brings. Even more so when you consider the free playable nature that is delivered via the Xbox Game Pass launch.
