Liquid Cat
Liquid Cat – out now on Xbox

A delightfully bizarre puzzle-platformer that asks the age-old question, “what if cats were liquid?” has just poured its way onto the Xbox and PC stores in the, um, form, of Liquid Cat.

Liquid Cat from Maria and Phoenix Reborn Games, has squeezed onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for the super-accessible price of just ÂŁ4.19.

Prepare to embrace two completely different forms in a refreshing blend of fast-paced action and brain-bending logic, as you leap, run, and flow your way through 40 challenging levels.

A Tale of Two States

The core of Liquid Cat is its unique, dual-form mechanic. You will need to master both of the cat’s states to succeed.

In your solid form, the game is a classic 2D platformer. You will need to leap and run through a variety of treacherous platforming challenges, dodging obstacles and making your way through the level.

This is where the game gets really interesting. At any point, you can dive into a pipe and transform into a liquid cat. In this state, the game becomes an intricate puzzle, where you must rotate the pipes to create a safe path for your liquid self to flow to the exit.

Think of it as a strange merging of Stray and Pipe Push Paradise. Kinda. If you squint a bit.

Your Feline Formula

Here’s what you can expect from this new puzzle-platformer:

  • Unique Dual-Form Gameplay: Switch between a solid cat for platforming and a liquid cat for puzzles.
  • A Refreshing Blend of Genres: A mix of fast-paced action and brain-bending logic.
  • 40 Progressively Difficult Levels.
  • Charming and Accessible.

A new and wonderfully weird challenge is waiting. If you’re a fan of unique puzzle-platformers, Liquid Cat is ready for you on the Xbox Store right now. You’ll find it Optimised for Series X|S, playable on Xbox One, or in Windows PC form.

It’s time to go with the flow!

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
