No Straight Roads 2 – rocking and rolling 2026

Get ready to turn it up to 11, because the band is getting back together in NSR2!

Developer Metronomik and Shueisha Games are thrilled to announce NSR2, the epic, action-packed sequel to the hit musical adventure No Straight Roads. The game is confirmed to be rocking onto PC and console platforms in 2026.

The Encore We’ve Been Waiting For

Announced with a vibrant new trailer, this sequel promises to take everything fans loved about the original and crank it up for a globe-trotting new adventure.

When we finished the original No Straight Roads, we were left wanting more. In our review, we concluded, “I was expecting the act to be entertaining but didn’t think I’d finish shouting for an encore, I was wrong. Encore!

Well, Metronomik heard the call. NSR2 is that encore – a direct response to fans’ love for the original, promising a bigger and bolder experience that builds on the first game’s incredible charm and rhythm-based action.

Bigger Band, Bigger World

This time, Bunkbed Junction is hitting the road. Rock stars Mayday and Zuke are embarking on a global journey to climb the international charts, leaving the familiar streets of Vinyl City behind. The band itself is also expanding, with two new playable band members joining the crew, each bringing their own unique musical styles and combat skills to the stage.

The gameplay is also being revitalised, with a greater focus on action. The rhythm-based combat returns with new crushing power moves and collaborative link attacks to defeat a huge new roster of musical megabosses.

You’ll get behind the wheel of your tour bus and travel through vibrant new locations, discovering rival musicians and communities full of unique musical cultures, from folk music and experimental jazz to rebellious rock and digital pop.

A Brand-New Setlist

It wouldn’t be a No Straight Roads game without an electrifying soundtrack. NSR2 will feature all-new music from returning composers James Landino, Falk Au Yeong, Garrett Williamson, and Midas Klare (Inverted Silence), along with additional musical guest stars.

The new score will be the driving beat behind this brand-new adventure.

A Word from the Headliners

The teams behind the game are buzzing with excitement to bring the band back for another tour.

“We are SO excited to reveal the first look at NSR2 to fans today,” said Wan Hazmer, CEO & Game Director at Metronomik. “We’re taking everything players loved about the first No Straight Roads and turning it up to 11. Expect incredible music, wacky bosses and engaging, imaginative cities to explore on Bunkbed Junction’s rocketok tour across the globe! We can’t wait for players to rock out with NSR2 in 2026.”

We’re thrilled to be banding together with Metronomik to bring NSR2 to players next year,” said Tomoya Tanaka, Global Marketing Manager at Shueisha Games. “With the Shueisha group’s heritage in bringing incredible worlds, characters and stories to fans across the globe, NSR2 is the perfect fit for our publishing portfolio, and we’re so excited to be getting the band back together for another musical adventure in 2026.”

NSR2 is shaping up to be the bigger, bolder, globe-trotting sequel fans have been calling for. You can add the game to your Steam Wishlist now and prepare to rock the world in 2026.
