Endless Legend 2
Endless Legend 2 – out on Game Pass for PC

The next age of Auriga is dawning, and a new legend is waiting to be written.

In a huge surprise for strategy fans, developer AMPLITUDE Studios and publisher Hooded Horse have today launched ENDLESS Legend 2 onto PC in Game Preview. This new fantasy strategy game is available to purchase and play right now on PC for £44.99, and is also available via PC Game Pass.

This is a Game Preview release, meaning the game is a work in progress, but it gives players the exciting opportunity to be a part of the development of the sequel to one of the most beloved 4X games of all time.

And yes, this is a PC only drop for now, with no Xbox play available. But hey, if you have a Game Pass subscription of the PC variety, fill your boots.

A New Legend Begins

ENDLESS Legend 2 invites you to lead a wildly varied faction as you build a grand empire and wage planet-spanning wars on an ever-evolving ocean world that is on the brink of extinction. You will need to establish expansive cities, raise powerful armies, and command your troops in deep, turn-based tactical battles as you uncover the dark secrets that lie at the planet’s core.

The heart of any ENDLESS game is its incredible and imaginative factions, and this sequel is no different. Each faction is driven by its own unique philosophies, histories, and capabilities, which will influence every single aspect of your game.

A Faction for Every Playstyle

Will you choose a faction that benefits from a constant state of war, spawning additional warriors with each victory? Will you prefer to spread your influence through cohabitation and cooperation, building a network of allies? Or will you lead a people who feed upon their own kind, taking advantage of a unique economy free from the needs of mere mortals?

You will recruit powerful heroes and watch them grow over time as they gain new traits and acquire legendary equipment. In battle, you can choose to auto-resolve combat or take direct control of your units, using the surrounding terrain and faction-specific abilities to turn the tide of any war.

Reign in an Evolving World

Empires will rise and fall based on their ability to adapt to a world that is constantly changing.

You will start with a single humble city and expand your empire based on your faction’s unique strengths. You’ll build districts, exploit strategic resources, and develop new technologies to grow your industrial and military might.

A key feature is the “tidefall” mechanic. Periodically, these cataclysmic events will cause the oceans to recede, unveiling vast new lands ripe for expansion. This will open up new avenues of approach for you and your enemies, as well as new resources to exploit, fundamentally changing the strategic landscape as the game progresses.

What to Expect in Game Preview

As this is a Game Preview launch, it is important to remember that the game is a work in progress and may change over time. However, this is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated fans to jump in early, provide valuable feedback, and help AMPLITUDE Studios shape the future of this ambitious sequel.

The epic next chapter in one of the most celebrated fantasy 4X series is here. For fans of deep, strategic, and imaginative empire-building, the chance to be a part of the journey from day one is an unmissable opportunity. The story of your empire begins today if you’re a PC player, across Game Pass via an Xbox Store download if you need it.
