It’s been a little while since we last saw a new Match-3 style affair hit Xbox One. But should you be harking after a fix to that, the launch of Rune Lord may well cover the bases.
Available to purchase and download right now from the Xbox Store for Xbox One, Rune Lord comes about via the team at Victory Road (they previously behind Olivers Adventures in the Fairyland and IN-VERT). Running with a price tag of just £5.79, this latest Match-3 affair follows a tale which picks up just after a dark magic-filled portal has opened. It’s up to you to close it.
Just don’t expect a simple experience. See, even though matching 3 like-minded tiles should seem simple, as we all know from these experience types, it can be far from that, as a test of your visual and mental skills come to the fore throughout. It will however only be by matching tiles and collecting up magic in which any success will come about, with the coins you earn allowing for further magic boosting skills, special spells and a number of clever abilities to be utilised.
Time will be of the essence though and one slack move could well signal the end of the world as we know it, as the evil Ice Golem takes over humanity. The question is, will you have what it takes to overcome the obstacles ahead and become the try Rune Lord?
