Do the Worlds of Alaria float your boat? Are world-crafting sandboxes your thing? Grow: Song of the Evertree is most certainly going to be to your liking.

Available to purchase and download today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC, Grow: Song of the Evertree has been put together by Prideful Sloth, a team which is home to former Activision and Rocksteady veterans.

It’s they who have created the glories of Grow: Song of the Evertree, and that means it’s with their doing that us console and PC gamers get the opportunity to visit the idyllic Worlds of Alaria. The thing is, this world isn’t as relaxed as one might suspect and instead it has fallen foul to the ever-mysterious Withering. The only hope for future world building is you.

A journey that is as well paced as you could ever imagine – mostly as your actions dictate what unfolds – Grow: Song of the Evertree will have you exploring a ton of areas and features, working your way through meadows and forests, deserts and tundras, creating your own towns and building communities as you go.

Grow: Song of the Evertree deals with fishing too – maybe not on Moonglow Bay levels, but it’s there nonetheless – offering up the chance for you to go bug catching, puzzling solving and cave exploring too. In fact, it very much seems like the world of Grow: Song of the Evertree, is your oyster.

“With the launch of Grow on PC and consoles today, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome players to Alaria,” said Cheryl Vance, Game Designer at Prideful Sloth. “Grow is a game about exploring and existing that we view as an inviting and cozy evolution of our previous work. We sincerely hope that Alaria can become a digital home away from home for all who take the time to visit.”

Key features include:

  • – Discover a Vibrant Unique World… at Your Own Pace
  • – Grow Your Own Worlds!
  • – Meet New People and Create A Community!
  • – Build the Town of Your Dreams
  • – A Beautiful Soundtrack by games and anime composer, Kevin Penkin.
  • – Mystery!

Does Grow: Song of the Evertree tick all the boxes you need for your Xbox, PlayStation, Switch or PC gaming sessions? If you fancy getting involved with what it brings, you’ll discover the usual digital stores delivering up the downloads you need. For us Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players, it’s the Xbox Store which will suit. Expect to pay £19.99 ish.

Game Description:

Grow your own worlds and nurture a deep natural connection with everything they hold. See your actions change the world for better! Bring the Evertree back to life in this breathtaking world-crafting sandbox, with life management and adventure elements. Over time, the Worlds of Alaria faded. The Evertree – where many worlds resided on its countless branches – is now nothing more than a sapling, its splendor long erased from memory. No one knows how to make it grow. But you are different. You hear the sun as it sings across the sky. You hear the language of rain against the earth. You are the last of the Everheart Alchemists and your task has been passed down from generation to generation – Grow and protect the Evertree!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
