If you’re looking for a game that promises to deliver hours and hours of content, then you could do worse than check out the Blade of Destiny. No, not THAT Destiny – Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny.
Available now on Xbox One, Blade of Destiny is a total and utter remake of the 1992 title that was adored by a whole generation of role players. In fact, it turned out to be one of the most successful RPGs of the ’90s, no doubt paving the way for even more successful titles that came after it.
Priced at £31.99, it certainly isn’t one of those cheap and cheerful remakes, but should you wish to visit Thorwal – perhaps as a returning adventurer or a first time visitor – now is that time. Expect a complete reimagining in the visual sense, a full overhaul of the gameplay, plenty of tactical fights, enough magic to keep any wizard busy for months on end, and, depending on the game style you wish to go with, anything up to 80 hours of game time.
The Microsoft Store awaits your cash. Don’t forget to let us know if you decide to make that return to Thorwal and the city of Aventuria.
