Extra Coin takes place in a future where the real world has been ravaged by war and overpopulation. Humanity’s answer is The Arcade, a sprawling digital universe where people can escape reality and live in a seemingly perfect environment.
But perfection can hide secrets.
You play as Mika, a sceptical outsider who never believed the promises surrounding The Arcade. When her parents suddenly disappear into the system without explanation, Mika decides to follow them into the virtual world to discover the truth.
What she finds is a city full of strange characters, hidden systems and rules that don’t quite make sense.
A World Built On Loops
One of Extra Coin’s most intriguing mechanics is its daily loop system. Each in-game day resets, allowing players to choose how they spend their time inside The Arcade.
You might explore the city streets searching for clues about Mika’s missing parents. Or perhaps you’ll take part in side activities; watching a film, working out at the gym, or even playing dice with a cat. These seemingly small choices can affect character stats and open up new opportunities as the story unfolds.
The loop structure encourages experimentation, giving players the freedom to try different approaches each day.
Duel Your Way Through The Rankings
