Enter the dark and malicious world of Demoniaca: Everlasting Night

Gothic metroidvania, anyone? If that’s what you are after then you’ll want to find yourself entering the dark and malicious world of Demoniaca: Everlasting Night.

Created by those at AKI, before being picked up and delivered to market by the rather prolific Eastasiasoft team (they behind the likes of Horatio Goes Snowboarding and Mastho is Together), Demoniaca: Everlasting Night arrives on the Xbox scene to provide players with the chance to take in a pretty weird, really wonderful, gothic metroidvania.

It works as a side-scrolling action platformer, but from there all madness lets loose. The art style is grotesque but beautiful, the style is highly seductive and the premise – that of traversing the land in order to uncover the secrets of the corrupted Tower of Babel – is seemingly deep. What we do know though is that making our way around that Tower is not going to be easy, with the need to slay the most powerful of lords and their minions right at the heart of the action.

It’s priced well though and at £12.49 it should intrigue many an Xbox player. We know we’re sold already and will be sorting a full review of how Demoniaca: Everlasting Night plays on Xbox Series X|S in the very near future. With it utilising Smart Delivery and coming optimised for next-gen, you can be sure it’s going to run pretty damn smoothly.

When you then include a feature list that will have you dressing yourself up in numerous bits of gear, and given the chance to chat away with all manner of intriguing characters, Demoniaca: Everlasting Night seems to nail things on the interest front…

  • Explore the Tower of Babel in side-scrolling “metroidvania” style!
  • Face hand-crafted enemies, each calling for a different strategic approach in combat.
  • Meet intriguing characters as an ominous narrative unfolds.
  • Dress and arm yourself in gear that’s both practical and fashionable!
  • Enjoy grim visual design with a mature touch of eroticism.

Keep an eye out for that review from us in the coming days. For now though, the Xbox Store will provide the download of Demoniaca: Everlasting Night on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S that you need.

Game Description:

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
