Ereban Shadow Legacy – finally on Xbox and PlayStation

Charging headfirst rarely ends well in Ereban: Shadow Legacy. This is a game that nudges you to pause, watch, and then disappear before anyone even realises you were there.

Available today on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 for ÂŁ17.99, Baby Robot Games’ stealth-action platformer finally lands after a long wait. And for those who’ve followed it since our earlier coverage back in 2022 and with the 2025 update, there’s one notable change – this is no longer a Game Pass day one release.

At A Glance

  • Game: Ereban: Shadow Legacy
  • Developer: Baby Robot Games
  • Publisher: SelectaPlay
  • Platforms: Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5
  • Price: ÂŁ17.99
  • Game Type: Stealth Platformer / Action Adventure

Shadows, Choice And A World Worth Exploring

You play as Ayana, the last descendant of a forgotten race, navigating a universe caught between ancient ruins and high-tech control. The defining feature is the Shadow Merge ability, letting you slip into darkness, traverse environments unseen, and reposition yourself in ways that feel both clever and empowering.

It’s more than a gimmick too – movement, stealth and combat all flow through it, creating a satisfying rhythm once you get to grips with how it all connects.

What really elevates things is the freedom in how you approach each situation. Ereban doesn’t force your hand. You can move through levels like a ghost, leaving enemies untouched, or lean into a more aggressive playstyle, striking from the shadows with precision. Absorbing echoes unlocks new abilities, gadgets expand your options, and gradually you shape Ayana into something that reflects how you want to play.

The world itself helps sell that journey. You’ll explore lifeless cities, ancient temple structures and corporate facilities tied to the Helios organisation, each area carrying a sense of mystery about what came before and what’s being hidden now. And visually, it keeps things clean and readable, ensuring the focus stays on movement and awareness rather than clutter.

A Quiet Arrival After A Long Build-Up

Ereban: Shadow Legacy has been building momentum for a while, and now it’s here, it delivers a focused experience built around a single strong idea – control the shadows, and you control the outcome.

It may not be the loudest release, but for those who enjoy stealth with flexibility and a bit of freedom in approach, there’s plenty here to get stuck into. Just don’t expect to be seen. That’s kind of the point.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy is on the Xbox Store for Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on the PlayStation Store. Just remember, there’s no Game Pass love at launch.

It’s been on Steam for a few years already too.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
