What’s worse than being stuck in a puzzle room? Being stuck in one that’s literally collapsing around you – like that in Shrink Room.

See, that’s the frantic challenge awaiting players in Shrink Rooms, a fast-thinking escape-style puzzle game now available on Xbox Series X|S for £4.19.

Developed and published by Happy Player, Shrink Rooms blends classic box-pushing puzzle mechanics with a constant sense of pressure, as walls close in and rooms slowly crush anything that lingers too long.

Escape Before The Walls Close In

The core idea behind Shrink Rooms is simple but intense: every room is collapsing, and the clock is always ticking.

Players must plan their moves carefully, pushing crates into place, activating mechanisms and navigating hazards in order to open an exit before the walls crush everything inside.

It’s a puzzle concept built on precision and timing, where every move counts and one wrong step could leave you trapped between closing walls.

Classic Box-Pushing Meets Escape Room Pressure

At its heart, Shrink Rooms draws inspiration from traditional Sokoban-style puzzles, asking players to move crates across cleverly designed stages.

But things quickly become more complex thanks to a variety of environmental hazards and gadgets.

Bottomless pits, traps and tricky layouts mean you’ll constantly need to think ahead. Meanwhile interactive systems like signal panels, polymers and portals introduce new puzzle mechanics as the game progresses.

The result is a puzzle experience that evolves steadily as new challenges are introduced.

Over 300 Levels Of Puzzle Chaos

If you’re worried about running out of things to solve, Shrink Rooms has you covered.

The game features over 300 escape-style levels spread across five themed chapters, each introducing fresh ideas and increasingly demanding puzzles.

Alongside the main stages, players can explore a central hub area that acts as a level select space, allowing them to unlock new chapters as they earn points by completing challenges.

Hidden puzzles and secret levels are also scattered throughout the experience, giving puzzle fans plenty of optional brainteasers to hunt down.

Ready To Beat The Clock?

Shrink Rooms is available now on Xbox Series X|S for £4.19. The Xbox Store is awaiting your cash.

With hundreds of levels, escalating puzzle mechanics and the constant pressure of collapsing rooms, it’s a compact but challenging puzzle game that should keep problem-solvers busy for quite some time.

Just remember, when the walls start moving, there’s no time to hesitate.
