Espresso Tycoon – crafting coffee on Xbox and PlayStation

Previously found love with Coffee Talk but want to increase your barista skills? Espresso Tycoon on Xbox and PlayStation will allow for it.

Fancy an espresso?

Espresso Tycoon have received ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam since it launched back in 2023, and so DreamWay Games and PlayWay are now pushing it out to Xbox and PlayStation. It’s a game that is exclusive to current-gen consoles, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. As such you won’t be playing this one on Xbox One or PS4.

If you have a liking for coffee – either making or drinking – then Espresso Tycoon is going to be for you. It tasks you with starting your very own coffee business, going from the very bottom to the absolute top. Or at least, that’s the plan.

In order to do so you’ll need to create your own brand, decorate your shop, hire and fire employees and keep an eye on your supplies – something that we really need to focus on as our real-life coffee addiction is getting out of control. We’re not sure the in-game 3D coffee editor is going to help us!

Key game features

With missions at the fore, challenges to enjoy and a Sandbox Mode to let you go wild, the key features of Espresso Tycoon sit as follows…

  • Design and Customize Your Coffee Shops: Create your unique coffee shop. Choose from various furniture, decorations, and equipment to give your place a distinct character
  • Craft Exquisite Coffee Beverages: Experiment with different ingredients and toppings to create an extensive menu of espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and other delightful recipes
  • Business Strategy: Make critical decisions regarding pricing, marketing campaigns, store layout, ordering supplies, and employee management to maximize profits and build your brand
  • Constant Innovation: Research and develop new deco items and ingredients to keep your customers happy
  • Explore Diverse Locations: Complete missions and unlock new various locations, each with unique challenges and opportunities. You can also play freely in the Sandbox mode

Craft that coffee

You can buy and play Espresso Tycoon on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 today, heading to the usual digital storefronts and grabbing a download. We’ll point you to the Xbox Store

Alternatively, Espresso Tycoon is on Steam too.

Our full review of Espresso Tycoon on Xbox is in the works. Coming real soon!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
