Etherborn secures funding for Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC releases

-

It’s been sat with an ongoing crowdfunding campaign for the last few weeks, but now, as it hits the final day enough funds have been secured to ensure that Etherborn – the gravity shifting puzzle platformer – will be arriving on multiple platforms.

That therefore means if you are an Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC player, then you will be able to get hold of a copy of Altered Matter’s puzzler in the coming months. And that is all thanks to a successful FIG campaign which has allowed the team to focus on console as well as PC.

“So this was a rather emotional ride where multiple times we doubted if we would actually make it. To anyone who backed, invested or shared our story, thank you! Now if you don’t mind, I need a moment to regain my nerves.” – Carles Triviño; Lead Programmer & Game Designer

“We’re so happy we’re now able to bring the game to fans across multiple platforms. Also having a genuine answer to the inevitable ‘Hey! Is this coming to Switch?’ is going to be a real blessing.” – Samuel Cohen; Lead Artist & Game Designer

About the game:

Etherborn is a gravity-shifting puzzle-platformer where you play as a voiceless body, searching for a bodiless voice that calls out to you as you explore dreamlike, Escheresque levels. It is an elegant leap forward in the gravity-puzzle genre where traversal is built around your unique sense of gravity that anchors you to any surface you stand on. Moving through the environment becomes the puzzle in itself, where each level acts as a sort of organic Rubik’s Cube that players need to explore, manipulate and shift their gravity on in order to decipher the way forward.

We’ve been lucky enough to go hands on with Etherborn already and it has to be said that it is a very intriguing little puzzle platformer indeed. Make sure you have a read of our thoughts right here, and if you are taken in by what it brings, be sure to check out the last few hours of the FIG campaign too.
