European Assault DLC confirmed for X-Morph: Defense with new Survival Mode

-

2026's Best Games

It’s the twin-stick shooting, tower defending hybrid that features a ton of destruction across fully dynamic environments, whilst providing a never before seen level of tower defense freedom. Yes, it’s X-Morph: Defense and very soon it’ll be getting even tastier with the introduction of the European Assault and a brand new Survival mode.

Set to hit Xbox One, PS4 and PC come March 26th, the European Assault DLC will be set at a price of just $4.99. But alongside it will be a brand new mode – Survival – that together with the European Assault, will nearly double the amount of content X-Morph Defense currently has to offer.

The European Assault mini-campaign will take place alongside the main story, letting players wreak havoc across Finland and Holland before reaching the conclusion in an epic, destruction-fuelled showdown at the Eiffel Tower in France.

But alongside that, a free update will bring Survival Mode, something that features 10 adrenaline-pumping new levels of endless gameplay, delivering tons of replay value. It’ll also come complete with a new leaderboard system which should encourage fierce competition and the opportunity for bragging rights. With a focus on rapid fire decision making, players must adapt quickly to the destructible environment in a bid to defend their cores against a never-ending onslaught of incoming enemies.

If you’re a PC gamer, then you can get a little look at two levels of Survival Mode from today as an Open Beta of the mode is now available to download via Steam.

If you’re not, then you’ll need to wait until March in order to grab the DLC. Don’t forget, you’ll need to base game in order to enjoy it – and should you need more info on that then our full review should sort you out.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
