Evolve is evolving as today sees a whole host of downloadable content hitting the game.
From today Evolve Season Pass holders will have full access to four new Hunters; Torvald, a cyborg Assault character with a mortar cannon for an arm; Crow, a Trapper with a pet Batray for tracking Monsters; Slim, a genetically modified combat Medic; and Sunny, a Support character equipped with a mininuke grenade launcher. All will bring new weapons, equipment and abilities as well as three Monster skins. You can pick the Season Pass up now for £19.99 or each Hunter can be purchased for £6.19.
Additionally, if you had pre-ordered the game from participating retailers, you’ll also find the latest and greatest Monster appearing. Behemoth is a bit of a tank and can quickly become a giant destructive boulder in order to move through the environment at speed. If you didn’t pre-order, Behemoth is available for £11.99.
If you decide that neither the new Hunter of Monster is for you, then fear not as you’ll still be able to play against or alongside these new characters online or against them offline.
The Observer Mode is also appearing and brings all the tools needed for the community to observe and commentate on the game in hand. Allowing a sixth player to enter a custom game, enhancing any live streaming by seamlessly switching to view any of the five players. Observer Mode includes an informative HUD that updates in real time throughout the match, showcasing player health, survival odds, perks, the mini-map, and more.
And finally, there will also be two new free maps available today exclusively, first on Xbox One before appearing on PS4 and PC come April 30, 2015. The Broken Hill Mine and Broken Hill Foundry maps introduce two distinct environments and bring additional depth and replayability to the entire Evolve community free of charge.
