Mirage 7 – a desert adventure awaits

A desert legend, a mysterious hybrid awakening beneath the sands, and a young girl chasing the impossible – Mirage 7 has arrived.

This one is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and PC, delivering a story-rich adventure that blends dark fantasy with sci-fi intrigue.

Developed by Drakkar Dev and published by Blowfish Studios, Mirage 7 invites players into a mythic world inspired by Arabian Nights folklore, where ancient legends and futuristic technology collide. At the heart of the journey is Nadira, a determined young adventurer searching for a way to bring her little sister back from the dead.

A Journey Across Myth And Mystery

Mirage 7 follows Nadira and her loyal lizard companion Jiji as they venture across a vast desert in search of the mythical oasis of Jala.

According to legend, the lost Princess Taishma resides within the mysterious Moon Palace hidden there. Only she possesses the power capable of fulfilling Nadira’s deepest wish, bringing her sister back to life.

But this journey is far from simple. The dunes conceal ancient secrets, dangerous creatures and strange forces that hint at a much deeper mystery.

Meanwhile, far beneath the desert sands, an unexpected event shakes a hidden military base as a reconnaissance drone crash awakens a mysterious hybrid presence.

A Dark Fairytale Brought To Life

Mirage 7 is designed as a third-person narrative adventure, placing strong emphasis on storytelling and atmosphere.

Inspired by the award-winning short story Miraggio, the game unfolds like a dark fairytale where themes of courage, grief and betrayal shape Nadira’s quest.

Along the way, players will encounter a cast of mysterious characters, including figures such as the eerie Witch of Jala and the enigmatic Vizier, helping unravel the deeper truths behind the desert’s many legends.

Survive The Desert

Exploration plays a major role in Mirage 7, as players navigate harsh desert environments filled with hazards and secrets.

To survive the journey, Nadira must:

  • Solve environmental puzzles scattered across the landscape
  • Craft tools using resources found during exploration
  • Battle hostile creatures using a dagger and slingshot
  • Work alongside Jiji, whose abilities help overcome obstacles

The Adventure Begins

We first caught wind of Mirage 7 back in 2024, when the project was revealed as a striking blend of sci-fi and Arabian-inspired storytelling. Now that journey is ready to begin.

Mirage 7 is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (via the Xbox Store), PlayStation and PC, priced at £16.99.

For players seeking a story-driven adventure filled with mystery, myth and desert exploration, Nadira’s quest may be worth following. Stay tuned for our full review in order to find out.
