The multi-award winning folks behind Monument Valley and Assemble With Care, ustwo game have unveiled Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2021. It’s going to whisk you away to a gorgeous island to explore and take a few snaps of the local wildlife!
Alba: A Wildlife Adventure takes place on the lovely island of Pinar del Mar, which plays home to over 60 animals for you to seek out and photograph. The open-world, sun-soaked setting was inspired by the development team’s fond childhood memories of the Spanish coast and it aims to showcase the environment, community aspect and how small actions can really make a big difference. Sounds a bit like Beyond Blue in the way it could be quite enlightening, albeit on land this time.
Taking on the role of Alba, a young girl who’s visiting her grandparents on the island, you’re all set for a peaceful summer exploring and searching for local wildlife alongside her best friend Ines. That changes however, when Alba finds out about plans to build a garish hotel on the site of the island’s nature reserve and decides it’s her duty to stop it – as well as yours.
In order to support Alba’s environmentally conscious message, ustwo games also recently announced its plan to plant one tree for each copy of the game sold or downloaded, with the goal of planting a whopping one million trees. To date, 200,000 trees are already set to be planted following last week’s launch of Alba: A Wildlife Adventure on PC and Apple Arcade.
Throughout Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, you can explore the idyllic island of Pinar del Mar from its sun-soaked coast to its castle ruins, and everything else in between. Whether it’s photographing animals, people and places, finding rare wildlife, locating lost pets, inspiring volunteers or even repairing broken bird boxes, Alba is never short on ways to help out.
We’ll be sure to fill you in on a confirmed release date, but for now have peace of mind that Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is launching on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2021.
