Gamescom has been the cornerstone of many a reveal and Warner Bros have dropped some new info regarding LEGO Dimensions…and the Adventure Worlds sound very promising!
Not only will the upcoming title merge the physcial LEGO bricks with interactive console gameplay, but Dimensions will provide unlockable Adventure Worlds for players to explore. Away from the game’smain story, every characters in Dimensions has the ability to unlock a corresponding world from their brand, providing additional gameplay content throughout.
You’ll immediately have access to worlds based on DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, and The LEGO Movie thanks to those included in the Dimensions Starter Pack. LEGO Gandalf will unlock The Lords of the Rings, Batman the DC world and Wyldstyle the LEGO Movie Adventure World.
The trailer and numerous screens below give a glimpse of these worlds as X-PO (voiced by Joel McHale), the robot guide from LEGO Dimensions, shows off the beauty and mystery where players will be able to race, collect studs and gold bricks, and explore classic locations from the varied brands available in the game for even more adventure beyond the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack.
Additionally, Warner have also confirmed a Ghostbusters Level Pack, complete with a LEGO Peter Venkman minifigure and Ghostbusters Fun Packs with LEGO Stay Puft and LEGO Slimer minifigures.
You’ll be able to pick up LEGO Dimensions from 29th Sept on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and Wii U.
