f1 2019 senna and prost

Here we are just a few months into the F1 2019 season and already we find the real-world sport trying to shoot itself in the foot again. Yep, with 5-second penalties being dished out left, right, and centre, one of the greatest drivers the world has ever seen running away with the Drivers Championship yet again, and the geniuses at Mercedes readying themselves for another Constructor’s title, it could be said that there is little reason to worry too much about the rest of the F1 season. But one thing that is sure to keep the excitement levels high is that of the official F1 videogame, particularly with the creative forces of Codemasters behind it once more, and even more so with the iconic Senna and Prost battle ready to commence. Are you ready for a bit of F1 2019?

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, F1 2019 is the latest, the greatest, and the best looking F1 title to date. Or at least if the team at Codies have their way, that’s exactly what it’ll be. Launching today on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with the arrival of the Legends Edition Senna & Prost, F1 2019 features pretty much what long term fans would expect – all the teams, drivers, circuits and glamour of the 2019 season.

But alongside that, and in trying to keep things fresh, F1 2019 also lets us get into the cockpit of an F2 car, competing in the 2018 season with F1 new boys George Russell, Lando Norris and Alexander Albon all in tow. It certainly brings a nice change from the formula that Codemasters have run with for the best part of a decade, and when you consider that this game comes with some of the highest quality visuals – both in terms of cars and tracks – that we have ever seen, it could well be the ultimate F1 racer yet.

Throw in some night racing, improved realism levels with broadcast style cutscenes and commentary, a deep career mode, plenty of top notch online racing, weekly challenges and leagues to compete in, and it’s easy to see why the early launch of F1 2019 is something to consider. And when you consider the Legends Edition also celebrates the greatest rivalry in F1 history, with a certain Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost going head-to-head, things get even more tasty. Yep, that’s right, splash the extra cash and you’ll not just get access a whole 3 days prior to the Standard Anniversary Edition (£54.99), but you’ll also find yourself driving the 1990 McLaren MP4/5B and the Ferrari F1-90, an extra 8 race challenges, and exclusive Senna and Prost themed multiplayer car liveries and race kit.

“We are absolutely delighted with the inclusion of F2, Senna and Prost, and Career Mode Driver Transfers, as major, new additions to the F1® Franchise, as well as integrating league racing and F1 Esports for fans who want to race competitively,” said Paul Jeal, F1® Franchise Director at Codemasters. “Driver Transfers, in particular, are something that we know our players have craved for several years, and it’s fantastic to now have that functionality integrated into our 10-year Career mode and build upon the seasonal rule changes we introduced in F1® 2018 to create unique player storylines from season to season.”

“The extra development time has enabled the team to both improve and add several new features,” said Lee Mather, F1® 2019 Game Director at Codemasters. “The addition of F2, complete with their rules and unique race weekends will give racing fans a new experience and we are particularly proud of the visual uplift to key tracks including Monaco and Bahrain, complete with all-new night-lighting effects. The early release date will enable our fans to develop their own rivalries two months earlier than previous seasons and we can’t wait for them to get their hands on the final game.”

Further still though, this arrival is accompanied by the addition of all manner of extra DLC drop with new car liveries and driver suits available. You’ll find all of the following available from your favourite digital store…
