Face the unknown as Ghostwire: Tokyo releases on Xbox and Game Pass

For the most part, Ghostwire: Tokyo released on PlayStation and PC back in 2022 to some rather decent acclaim. Now though it’s time for Xbox players to experience a supernatural Tokyo, with it powered by Game Pass for good measure.

Available to purchase, download and play right now on Xbox Series X|S, Ghostwire: Tokyo from Tango Gameworks (The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2 and the recently released Hi-Fi RUSH) and Bethesda Softworks will whisk you off to a unique version of Tokyo, one that has been picked up and thrown out by a weird supernatural force. It’s a city of beauty, but the streets within it are full of spirits, haunting the world.

It’ll be up to you to head into Ghostwire: Tokyo, face the unknown and make it out of the other side in one piece. With a host of elemental powers to hand, ghost-hunting skills on tap and the chance to traverse the Tokyo skylines, you should just about be able to discover the success needed. The question is, do you really want to uncover the truth?

If you’ve played Ghostwire: Tokyo on other formats then you’ll know what to expect here as it rocks up onto Xbox Series X|S, playable through Game Pass should you wish. If not, we’d urge you to at least grab a download from the Xbox Store and spend an hour or so with the vision – it should give you a great insight into how the rest of the game plays.

Note: This is a game making the most of the power of Xbox Series X|S and as such you won’t be able to play it on Xbox One. At least not unless you utilise the Game Pass angle and take it in through Cloud Gaming.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is available for £59.99 should you prefer to buy a copy rather than use Game Pass, with a Deluxe Edition of the game kicking around for £79.99. It’s that which brings together the base game with the Streetwear Outift Pack, the Shinobi Outfit and the Kunai Weapon Skin. Alternatively, you could always purchase the Deluxe Upgrade Add-on for £15.74.

Keep an eye out for our review of Ghostwire: Tokyo on Xbox Series X|S soon.
