All the Words She Wrote – now on console

What if you got the chance to meet the creator of your favourite fictional character, only to find they’re nothing like you imagined? A new, thought-provoking visual novel has launched today to explore that very question.

All The Words She Wrote, a tale of love, fandom, and literature, is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

From renowned visual novel developer ebi-hime and prolific publisher Ratalaika Games, this linear love story can be yours for a price expected to be around £12.99 depending on where you purchsae.

When Fandom Becomes Reality

All The Words She Wrote introduces us to Takaoka Mayo, a twenty-four-year-old woman without any real life plans, but with one all-consuming passion: Princess Luluna, the beloved heroine of the popular light novel series, “Elf Forest.” Mayo is content to admire her favorite fictional character from afar, until an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity presents itself.

The mysterious and reclusive writer of “Elf Forest” is looking for a housekeeper! Mayo jumps at the chance and soon finds herself living under the roof of the author, Komikado Hijiri.

But contrary to Mayo’s belief that the author is a middle-aged man, Hijiri is a young woman only a few years older than she is. She’s also a reclusive, awkward hermit who, despite being under five feet tall, has a biting tongue and a needle-sharp personality.

A Story to Be Read and Savored

All The Words She Wrote is a classic, linear visual novel. There are no choices or branches to navigate; this is a story designed to be read and experienced as the author intended.

There are some big numbers kicking around in this one too. With over 100,000 words of text, which translates to approximately 4-6 hours of reading time, you can immerse yourself in the developing relationship between the two leading ladies.

As Mayo spends more time with the prickly but brilliant Hijiri, she grows fond of her. This leads to the central conflict of the story: who does Mayo really care about? Is it the perfect, fictional Princess Luluna, or the real, flawed, and fascinating author who created her?

Key Features

  • A Cute Lesbian Love Story: Follow the developing relationship between a passionate fan and a reclusive author.
  • Linear Visual Novel: A single, crafted story with no choices or branches to distract from the narrative.
  • 100,000 Words of Text: Settle in for approximately 4-6 hours of reading.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
