Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition

War never changes. And for a long time, it felt like Fallout 4 wouldn’t either.

But today, Bethesda Game Studios has blown the vault doors wide open, celebrating a decade of the beloved classic with the ultimate, complete package.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is now available digitally on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Play Anywhere, PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.

This isn’t just the base game and its DLC; this is the definitive version, bundling in over 150 pieces of Creation Club content and, for the first time ever, introducing the fully integrated Creations menu to the Commonwealth.

A Journey We’ve Been on For a Decade

It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since we first stepped out of Vault 111. We’ve had a long and storied history with this game.

From 2015 Masterpiece…

Back in our original 2015 review of Fallout 4, we were blown away, calling it a “brilliantly crafted masterpiece” and a “huge” world that “Fallout 3 fans will be in utter heaven” with.

We looked back on it fondly in 2020, and even wrote an article way back in 2017 asking if a 4K remaster would ever happen.

…To the 2024 Update

We finally got that… sort of… in 2024. In our 4/5 review of the Xbox Series X|S update, we found it to be a “pretty bare bones update” that “could have been more.

But we also admitted that it didn’t really matter, because the “gameplay is still king.

Now, with the Anniversary Edition, it feels like the true, complete celebration we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived.

What’s New in This Upgraded Wasteland?

This special release is the definitive way to experience the Commonwealth, whether you’re a newcomer or a longtime Sole Survivor.

As you’d expect, this edition includes the award-winning base game and all six official add-ons: Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, and all three Workshop expansions.

This is where things get really interesting. The Anniversary Edition also bundles in over 150 pieces of Creation Club content. This includes fan favourites and even previously unreleased items; new weapons and armour, as well as new Dogmeat breeds (like a husky or a dalmatian), new gameplay tweaks, and full-blown quest expansions.

Creations Finally Arrive!

For the first time ever, Fallout 4 is getting the full Creations treatment that Skyrim has enjoyed for years. The Anniversary Edition introduces a brand-new in-game Creations menu.

This will make it easier than ever to discover, download, and enjoy a stream of new content from professional developers and passionate enthusiasts alike, transforming your adventure in exciting new ways for years to come.

How to Get the Anniversary Edition

There are a few ways to get your hands on this new content. Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is available as a new, complete digital bundle on all platforms. On the Xbox Store for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Play Anywhere, it costs ÂŁ52.99.

For existing players, there are also Anniversary Upgrade paths. This is especially good news for subscribers, as players on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus will be able to access all the new DLC and Creations content via one of these upgrade options. The Creations Bundle will set you back ÂŁ17.99.

And for those on the move, Bethesda also announced that the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition will be arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

Your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Breakdown

Here’s what you can expect from this definitive package:

  • The original Fallout 4 base game.
  • All six official add-ons (Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, etc.).

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
