Fanta And Xbox Go Big – “Wanta Fanta?” Becomes A Global Gaming Challenge

Sometimes gaming crossovers are cool. Sometimes they’re unexpected. And then sometimes… they’re just plain fun. “Wanta Fanta” seems just that.

The new Fanta x Xbox collaboration firmly lands in that last category – a colourful, chaotic, and surprisingly ambitious global campaign that blends fizzy drinks with some of gaming’s biggest names. And yes, it’s all built around one question: how far would you go for a Fanta?

Launching as part of Xbox’s 25th Anniversary celebrations, Fanta x Xbox is more than just a branding exercise. It’s a fully gamified experience that invites players to dive into challenges, unlock rewards, and engage with iconic characters in ways that go beyond the screen.

A Multiverse Of Flavour Meets Gaming Icons

This isn’t your standard limited-edition label swap.

Fanta has gone all-in, bringing together characters from some of Xbox’s biggest franchises – including Halo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo IV and Forza Horizon 6 – and letting them take over the Fanta universe.

The result is a special edition collection of drinks and designs that feel like they’ve been pulled straight out of a gaming multiverse. It’s bold, it’s playful, and it’s clearly aimed at fans who want something a little more interactive than your usual promo.

And then there’s the new flavour: Fanta Crimson.

More Than A Drink – It’s A Challenge

Here’s where things get interesting.

From April, picking up selected Fanta and Xbox promotional products doesn’t just get you a drink – it unlocks access to a series of in-game style challenges tied to the campaign.

Players will be able to:

  • Take on exclusive Fanta Rewards Chest challenges
  • Interact with iconic characters from featured franchises
  • Compete for prizes, merchandise and unique experiences

It’s essentially turning a drink purchase into a gateway for gaming content.

Built Around Play And Personality

The collaboration leans heavily into the idea of self-expression and playfulness, something both brands are keen to highlight.

As Ibrahim Salim Khan, Vice President, Global Sparkling Flavors Category, explained:

Fanta believes in delivering the Wanta Fanta? Come Get It challenge that fans are most passionate about, and this partnership with Xbox takes it to a whole new realm of delicious game play. We’re just getting started. We imagine a world where the irresistible taste of Fanta is so delicious, it pulls players into a multiverse-sized adventure. We’re excited to unleash this partnership with Xbox by immersing fans in the worlds of their favorite games – teaming up with iconic characters and facing larger-than-life challenges to prove just how far they’ll go to get their Fanta back.”

And from the Xbox side, the focus is just as clear – bringing gaming experiences into everyday life:

This partnership with Fanta brings together two brands that thrive on creativity and self-expression,” said Marcos Waltenberg, GM Xbox Partnerships. “Together, we’re creating experiences that meet fans where they are and celebrate the joy of play – on screen and beyond.

A Truly Global Drop

The Fanta x Xbox collection will roll out across more than 60 markets worldwide, spanning North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and beyond.

With the campaign kicking off in April 2026, it won’t be long before shelves – and screens – start filling up with this crossover. Keep an eye out.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
