You may be looking for some chilling games to play this Halloween, but if it’s FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse that you’re after, you’re going to need to hold tight for a wee bit longer. March 2023 will be here before we know it though, yeah!?
KOEI TECMO has today confirmed that FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will release in early 2023; March 9th 2023 in fact as the timeless classic returns for release on modern day systems.
It’s due to launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam as it looks to deliver a frightening mystery to gamers.
A decade after five young girls mysteriously disappeared at an island festival, their memories of the events that transpired during their disappearance remain fuzzy. But when two of the girls are found dead days apart ten years after the initial vanishing, the remaining three teenagers head back to the island – a haunted place possessed by ghosts and spirits – to solve the mystery of their friends’ deaths, while also unlocking the secrets to the memories they left behind.
FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will come in a couple of different flavours as KOEI TECMO look to deliver a Standard Edition as well as a Digital Deluxe Edition. Go for the latter and you’ll gain access to a unique edition which includes the Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set, and a digital art book (original soundtrack included).
Further, get about pre-ordering the digital copy of the game by March 22nd 2023 and you’ll be able to download the early purchase bonus: Ruka Exclusive Costume “Marie Rose Outfit” from the Dead or Alive series.
