If Undertale and Castlevania had a baby, then we think the expecting couple should probably name it Last Night of Winter.
This sprawling non-linear Metroidvania, complete with skeletons galore and retro graphics is a difficult adventure title that will have you constantly worried about what is coming around the corner…
A Great Battle
Now available on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch – the first foray onto console for Zeon Digital’s title, following a two-year period of being only on PC (Steam) – Last Night of Winter places you into a gothic stronghold following an epic battle.
Unfortunately, even before you had a chance to say otherwise, you were killed in this war, and plunged back into it as a skeleton.
Ultimately, your end goal is to progress through the many dungeons found within the stronghold, find the Heir to the throne, and hope to end this period of never-ending purgatory.
To do so, expect to be engaging in some crunchy melee combat, against a varied set of enemies and bosses. Equipping different weapons greatly diversifies how you’ll approach in battle, so it’s encouraged to try out each and every item, and find your own playstyle.
Key Features
- Explore – Non-linear map where you’ll be unlocking access to new places once you have acquired special items or abilities within the game.

- Equip yourself – Multiple weapons with very different movesets that completely change the gameplay, and the way you face the different challenges of the game.
- Story driven – Meet different characters that, as you, woke up with a blurry purpose to follow and discover their stories.

Game Description
The story takes place in an old stronghold, at the last days of a great battle. You died, but your will was stronger than your body, so you woke up again, to continue the siege in a never-ending night.
Remembering little more than your purpose, you’ll have to leave the dungeons, advance through the stronghold’s outskirts, and reach the highest tower. To find the Heir and finally end your curse.
