The name alone may be enough to put many off, but if you’re looking to fight for your life through a new Souls-like affair, then Boss Rush: Mythology may just be for you.

Available right now to purchase and download on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (optimised), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC is Boss Rush: Mythology. It’s been created by one Alexey Suslin, picked up and published to the world by the Sometimes You team.

Boss Rush: Mythology places you in the role of a mysterious knight who is found traveling the globe, taking in combat opportunities across all manner of country and region. Your task is to prove yourself as the most mighty of warriors, and you can only do this by taking down the biggest of bosses from around the world.

Throughout your time with Boss Rush: Mythology you’ll be found going toe-to-toe with foes from Greek, Scandinavian, Slavic and Egyptian mythology, taking on no less than twenty in your quest of proof.

You’ll be well equipped, thankfully, with multiple weapon and item types at hand.

The key features of Boss Rush: Mythology include:

  • – Souls-like style combat system
  • – 20 unique bosses
  • – 6 types of weapons and 6 types of items to choose from
  • – Easy difficulty option for beginners

Boss Rush: Mythology is on the Xbox Store in three different flavours, all dependant on the machine you wish to play on. There’s the Xbox Series X|S version, that for those on Xbox One, and a PC edition. All will cost you ÂŁ8.39 to pick up, although if you are quick you may well get the chance to make the most of an initial launch discount. The game is on PlayStation too.

Keep an eye out for our review of Boss Rush: Mythology soon.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
