Bandai Namco have treated us to not one, not two, but six new playable character reveals for their upcoming manga and anime 3vs3 fighting game, JUMP FORCE. That’s not all either, with details emerging about the online modes and another of the stages present for battles to take place on too.

Delving straight into the characters that are joining the roster and the most recognisable to the masses will be the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta, from Dragon Ball Z. He used to be the mortal enemy of Goku, but now he chooses to fight alongside him to help protect the earth. Then we the Hunter X Hunter duo; a young chap named Gon, who is pure at heart and will do anything for the greater good, and the sociopathic killer, Hisoka.

The rest of the new characters are from the world of One Piece. The JUMP FORCE roster will see the inclusion of the fearsome and despicable Blackbeard, known for having the Devil Fruit abilities to manipulate darkness and create earthquakes. He’s joined by the fire controlling Sabo, a friend and ‘brother’ to Luffy, and one of the strongest fighters in the One Piece universe – and cook for the Straw Hat Crew – Sanji!

When venturing into the online modes, players will have the opportunity to create their very own customised avatars to take into fights against others. All we know is that the online experience will be based in a huge lobby which is composed of four distinct settings from the worlds of One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, and the real world. Sounds pretty cool, right?

And finally, we can’t miss the fact that another stage has been announced, one that’s in a state of perpetual daylight due to having three suns. It is, of course, the Namek stage from the Dragon Ball Z universe, the planet where Goku took on Frieza in that now infamous battle. Planet Namek in JUMP FORCE also features the mysterious appearance of a certain green statue, so keep an eye out for that.

JUMP FORCE will be available in 2019 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. All that’s left to do is leave you with the latest trailer from Gamescom featuring the newly announced characters!
