Finally! Persona 5 Royal makes its way onto Xbox

Persona 5 Royal Xbox

We’re not the jealous type here at TheXboxHub, but there have been a couple of games we’ve been dying to see make their way over from PlayStation to Xbox. We’ve been fortunate to see the Yakuza series and Ni No Kuni recently jump ship, but now we’re getting one of the most critically acclaimed titles of last generation. And it is Optimised for Xbox Series X|S. And it is available with an Xbox Game Pass. Anything else? Oh yes, it is called Persona 5 Royal, out today on Xbox, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Join the Phantom Thieves in one of the best JRPGs of all-time. Don’t believe us? Well, good job we already have a review of Persona 5 Royal ready to go.

You are a student who has transferred schools recently after getting into some trouble with the law. Sent to Shujin Academy, it is here you learn about a sort of parallel universe. With the other students teaming up with you, can you retrieve the treasure at the centre of this other world?

Persona 5 Royal also features:

  • Explore Tokyo, unlock Personas, customize your own personal Thieves Den, experience alternate endings, and more
  • Become the ultimate Phantom Thief and defy conventions, discover the power within, and fight for justice in the definitive version of Personal 5 Royal
  • Includes over 40 items of previously released downloadable content
  • Choose between Japanese and English VO

Available through Xbox Game Pass and on the Xbox Store now, Persona 5 Royal is on there for £49.99. Is this a Day One pickup on Xbox Game Pass or a wait for a sale kind of game? As always, let us know in the comments below.

Game description

Forced to transfer to a high school in Tokyo, the protagonist has a strange dream. “You truly are a prisoner of fate. In the near future, ruin awaits you.” With the goal of “rehabilitation” looming overhead, he must save others from distorted desires by donning the mask of a Phantom Thief.
