Niffelheim is a 2D side-scrolling action-survival RPG, developed by Ellada Games, which sees players take on the role of an exhausted Viking. After dying a glorious death in battle, you’ve been refused entry into Valhalla and so you must find alternate means to get in or risk the soul of the Viking being imprisoned in the harsh, unforgiving realm of Niffelheim forever.
Essentially, several pieces of a mystic portal must be found to achieve your goal, but that’s no easy task with an onslaught of monsters to contend with both on the ground and in the depths of the underworld dungeons. You’ll need to explore the realm, battle these monsters and collect resources that are useful to craft the tools, weapons, and other items necessary to survive such as healing potions and deadly poisons. Delving into the dungeon-like underworld caves and completing the ultimate quest will require cunning skill and a bit of luck. Are you up to the task?
