It’s been a busy old time for the astragon Entertainment team, and on the back of the releases of the newly revamped Construction Simulator and Police Simulator Patrol Officers comes the chance for Xbox and PlayStation gamers to hose themselves down, with Firefighting Simulator – The Squad.

Already available on Steam where it’s picked up some decent acclaim, Firefighting Simulator – The Squad will soon also be releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5, as astragon and the development team at Chronos Unterhaltungssoftware bring the fire fighting to console.

It’ll arrive come December 6th 2022, and will see players given the opportunity to fight fires alone or with others in multiplayer, working a team of four of the finest firefighters.

Comprising more than thirty varied missions, you’ll need to jump in your fire engine and to grab a hose as you attempt to bring a series of fires under control. Fail, and well, your career as a firefighter may well be wiped out.

Due to release on Xbox and PlayStation for EUR 29.99/USD 29.99/GBP 24.99, Firefighting Simulator – The Squad will offer up five officially licensed vehicles from Rosenbauer America, including the likes of the TP3 Pumper and the T-Rex Articulating Platform, ensuring that putting fires out will never be easier.

From there, expect to have a team of AI colleagues behind you, or team up with your mates via the multiplayer mode to ensure that a coherent team really is capable of making light work. You’re going to need that team too as Firefighting Simulator – The Squad will include a host of hazards – electronics, chemicals, explosions – and even more fire-related issues to boot.

In all, the key features of Firefighting Simulator – The Squad will include…

  • Multiplayer with up to 4 players
  • Authentic firefighter equipment by well-known manufacturers – e.g. Cairns®, MSA G1® SCBA, Leatherhead Tools® and HAIX®.
  • Officially licensed firefighting vehicles by Rosenbauer America
  • Comprehensive training which introduces players to the basics
  • Advanced fire simulation & physics system
  • PlayStation®5 version offers advanced DualSenseâ„¢ Features, such as dynamic adaptive triggers or haptic feedback

We’ll be sure to remind you when Firefighting Simulator – The Squad launches on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 come December 6th 2022. For now, you could always go and kit up on PC through Steam

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
