There’s no grand speech, no heroic buildup in Flee The Fallen. It drops you straight into the aftermath – a world already lost, streets overrun, and survival reduced to moment-by-moment decisions that rarely go your way.
Now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for £5.79, this 2D action-survival title from AM Playhouse and Ocean Media keeps things tight, fast and unforgiving, asking one simple question: how long can you actually last?

No Time To Settle In
Flee The Fallen doesn’t waste time easing you into its world.
From the start, you’re dealing with swarms of infected, limited resources and environments that feel just as dangerous as the enemies themselves. It’s a game that pushes you to stay moving, stay alert and accept that mistakes are going to cost you.
At the centre of it all is a combat system built around stamina and timing. Melee attacks need to be measured, dodges have to be well-timed and gunplay can’t be wasted. Ammo is scarce, and relying on firearms too heavily will leave you exposed when it matters most.
It creates a rhythm where every encounter feels like a small puzzle. Do you go aggressive and risk it, or play it safe and conserve what little you have?
The Horde Isn’t Playing Fair
The undead here aren’t just slow-moving obstacles. As you progress, enemies become more unpredictable, forcing you to adapt quickly or get overwhelmed. Boss encounters ramp things up even further, filling the screen with threats that test both your reflexes and your ability to stay calm under pressure.
Between the chaos, Flee The Fallen does give you moments to breathe, just not for long. Environmental puzzles and hidden paths offer brief pauses from combat, encouraging you to explore and think your way forward. These sections help break up the action without ever fully letting the tension drop.
You’re always aware that the next fight isn’t far away.
A Fight Worth Taking?
Flee The Fallen is tough, fast and doesn’t offer easy victories. But for players who enjoy that kind of challenge, who like learning through failure and slowly improving run by run, there’s something satisfying about pushing a little further each time. You might not win. But you’ll definitely put up a fight.
