Follow the Murder Diaries 3 – Santa’s Trail of Blood on Xbox

The ‘3’ in the title suggests that many gamers will already know what to expect from Murder Diaries 3 – and chances are if you’ve played either of the games which have come before it, that will certainly be the case. But Murder Diaries 3 is also trying something new, as we head off on a journey that takes us off on Santa’s Trail of Blood.

Following on from EpiXR Games’ previous offerings in Murder Diaries and Murder Diaries 2, Murder Diaries 3 – Santa’s Trail of Blood picks up and runs with the same free-floating orb type feel, as you get to work your way delicately through an unfolding story.

It has you floating and gliding, freely flying through each area as you see fit, watching the narrative that is behind Murder Diaries 3 – Santa’s Trail of Blood slowly unfurl. In terms of that, you’ve got Murder Diaries down to a tee and we’re not expecting too much deviation from the past.

What is different is that elongated title – Murder Diaries 3 – Santa’s Trail of Blood. You see, MD3 comes to market with a Christmas theme about it, but we’re certainly not expecting it to be the warm, glowing, fuzzy stuff that we’d normally associate. Nah, this is a game about murder – and that alone should leave more than a chill down your spine.

If you’re seeing Murder Diaries thrust in your face for the first time ever, we’d highly advise you grab a copy of the first two games initially, play through them and then consider the drop of Murder Diaries 3 – Santa’s Trail of Blood that you need. You’ll find the download you need from the Xbox Store. From then you’ll be able to play on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Keep an eye out for our full review soon too.

Game Description:

In this game you abstractly follow the narration of a young man who slowly but surely becomes insane. This leads you straight into the middle of an exciting murder case and a murder mystery unfolds while you listen to the testimonies of witness, friends and relatives. The whole game is somewhat Christmas flavored – however, don’t get yourself comfortable, the game not going to give you a nice and warm feeling but rather confront you with a cold and harsh reality as the thrilling storytelling of the game will leave you with a cold shiver down your spine. The game is a must have for any true fan of thrillers and anyone how enjoys a murder mystery that goes beyond the normal story telling.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
