Announced by SEGA today, Football Manager 2022 and FM22 Xbox Edition look set to move the iconic franchise on once more, coming to Xbox and PC on November 9th 2021, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, on PC/Mac AND through Xbox Game Pass as well as Steam, the Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store.
What that means is should you be a PC or Xbox player, you can pretty much pick up a Football Manager 2022 experience however you are set, with the Xbox edition being totally tailored for our consoles.
But it’s the arrival in Game Pass which will seal the deal for many with both FM22 and FM22 Xbox Edition available on Day One, in a historic first for the series. Xbox Game Pass for PC members can enjoy the unparalleled depth and realism of FM22 while Xbox Game Pass for Console members can handle the managerial essentials from the comfort of their sofa with FM22 Xbox Edition. And no matter which edition you prefer, it’ll be there, present and correct in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate colours.
Miles Jacobson, Sports Interactive’s Studio Director, said: “FM22 will break new ground for the Football Manager series as we arrive on Day One with Xbox Game Pass. The success of our return to Xbox last year surpassed even our expectations and we’re delighted to be expanding our partnership with Microsoft to give Game Pass members the chance to experience the closest thing to being a real football manager.”
But what should we expect from FM this year? Well, it promises to deliver progressive ways for managers to find their winning edge and instil their footballing style to cement their legacy as a managerial great.
