The wait is very nearly over – Football Manager 25 is set to kick off in November, across Xbox, Game Pass, PC and PlayStation, ushering in a new era for the beloved franchise.

Taking to the pitch on November 26th, FM25 will be playable on Xbox and through Game Pass, as well as PC and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is planned for December alongside FM25 Touch, whilst Netflix players get access on November 26th with Football Manager 25 Mobile.

Building on previous

Fresh off a record-breaking year for Football Manager 24, the latest installment promises to deliver an even deeper and more authentic football universe, where your decisions shape your destiny. You know, like they’ve always done.

Powered by the groundbreaking switch to the Unity engine, Football Manager 25 boasts the most significant technical and visual advancements in a generation. Expect a revamped UI, enhanced graphics, and lifelike player animations that bring you closer to the action than ever before.

This year’s release marks the highly anticipated debut of Women’s Football, seamlessly integrated into the existing men’s game, offering unprecedented opportunities to make your mark on the sport. Additionally, a new multi-year partnership with the Premier League ensures an even more immersive experience for fans of the English top flight.

Dev speak

As Sports Interactive Studio Director Miles Jacobson puts it:

“It’s a great honour today to be confirming the forthcoming release of Football Manager 25. As I’ve mentioned in interviews and development updates, the FM25 cycle has been challenging for the entire SI team. FM25 is just the starting point for the studio’s next 20, 30 years. It’s also the point where the world gets to see two of our multi-year projects come to fruition: the switch to the Unity engine and the introduction of Women’s Football. It gives us a real sense of achievement to begin sharing our hard work with you and we’re really looking forward to showing you more of the game in the weeks before the game’s release.”

FM25 will be available on PC & Mac, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, with various editions and pre-order bonuses to suit every fan’s needs.

We’ll keep you looped as to the build-up to that Xbox and Game Pass drop, but prepare to immerse yourself in the world’s most realistic football management simulation and define your legacy in the beautiful game. Again.

Best get the snacks and drinks in now.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
