Fortnite Crew – a new way to play

The battle bus is making a new stop, and it’s picking up every Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member along the way in Fortnite Crew.

Epic Games and Microsoft today officially integrates Fortnite Crew into the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. This massive value add arrives alongside another major milestone: Fortnite is now available natively through the Xbox app on PC and has officially become an Xbox Play Anywhere title. You know, like a host of games at the moment.

Fortnite x Game Pass

This dual announcement marks a significant expansion for the game within the Xbox ecosystem, offering subscribers a wealth of monthly rewards and a seamless way to play across consoles, PC, and handhelds.

So what are we getting? Well…

  • Fortnite Crew: The monthly subscription service is now a perk for all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members at no extra cost.
  • Native PC Launch: Fortnite is now available to download and play directly through the Xbox app on PC.
  • Xbox Play Anywhere: The game now supports full cross-progression and shared wallets across Xbox consoles, PC, and cloud.

The Ultimate Perk for Battle Royale Fans

For subscribers to Xbox’s top-tier service, the value proposition just got significantly sweeter. Fortnite Crew is now bundled directly into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

This isn’t a watered-down version; it’s the full membership. By simply logging into Fortnite on an Xbox console, PC, or supported handheld with your linked account, you will automatically receive all the monthly benefits.

This includes the seasonal Battle Pass, 1,000 V-Bucks every month to spend in the shop (yep, monthly free V-Bucks!), and exclusive cosmetic bundles that aren’t available anywhere else.

A Seamless Experience Across All Devices

Perhaps just as exciting as the free loot is the technical integration. Starting today, Fortnite is officially an Xbox Play Anywhere title. This means that for the first time, you can install and launch the game natively via the Xbox app on Windows PC, bypassing the need for other launchers.

This integration ensures that your progress, wallet, and library of skins travel with you effortlessly. Whether you’re earning crowns on your Xbox Series X in the living room, completing quests on your gaming PC, or streaming via the cloud on a handheld, your experience is completely unified.

What Do You Get With Fortnite Crew?

For those new to the subscription, Fortnite Crew offers a stack of monthly rewards that go beyond just the Battle Royale mode.

  • Crew Pack: An exclusive monthly bundle featuring a new Outfit and matching accessories. For November, this includes the racer Maxx Speed Outfit.
  • 1,000 V-Bucks: A monthly hit of premium currency to use on whatever you like in the Item Shop.

Your membership grants you instant access to the premium tracks of every current pass in the Fortnite ecosystem, including the Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, Music Pass, and OG Pass.

Rocket League Bonus

The benefits even extend to other games. Crew members also receive Rocket Pass Premium in Rocket League, ensuring you’re earning rewards on the pitch as well as the island.

The drop zone has just become a lot more rewarding for Xbox players. With a monthly injection of V-Bucks, exclusive skins, and seamless cross-platform play now standard, there has never been a better time to thank the bus driver and dive into the action.

The new benefits are live today.
