Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 13 – Autumn

-

Series 13 of Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges continues on and this week we move from the Summer scene of Colorado to that of Autumn, rocking up in Europe as Forza Horizon 2’s cover star Lamborghini Huracan comes to the fore.

With it are a whole host of new events and challenges too – and we’re guessing you want some cars and tunes that will enable you with the chance to complete them with ease? Happy to oblige.

Part 1: #Forzathon Weekly Challenge – Welcome to Europe

With the look back through the lens of history reaching Forza Horizon 2, it is perhaps not that surprising that the weekly challenge car this week is the hero car of that game, the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4. To obtain said car, if you don’t have it already, you either complete this week’s collectible challenge and smash 10 bonus boards, or visit the Autoshow where it will set you back a not inconsiderable 240,000 credits.

It also happens to be the star of this week’s photo challenge too, so a busy week for this car!

Chapter 1 – Expect the Unexpected

Get in, hit the gas. Step one complete!

Chapter 2 – Road Trip of Your Life!

Once you have got in and hit the gas, keep hitting it for five miles. A very simple second step, given that I was getting about 180mph out of the car, it doesn’t take long.

Chapter 3 – Huracan Courage

Apparently the car got it name due to being inspired by a fighting bull. Sounds like bull to me, but to celebrate this fact, bank 100,000 skill score in the car.

Luckily, it doesn’t have to be in one go, just keep racking up points. Skill songs are your friend!

Chapter 4 – Lambo No.5

Now simply rack up five points at speed zones.

With the rate this thing accelerates at, no more than three runs, surely? And with that, the weekly car challenge is complete. Nice and straightforward this week.

Part 2 – Weekly Challenges

There’s always tons to enjoy in the Forza Horizon 5 Weekly Challenges and this week sees the usuals crop up – The Trial, a host of Seasonal Championships, some Speed Zones and more. There’s not a stupif EventLab in sight either.

The Trial – Stock Showdown: Peugeot 207 S

Another opportunity for me to sit back and relax, as this week’s The Trial sees us once again having to use a car in stock trim.

The car this week is a Peugeot 207 S, ideal for a little light shopping if you fancy it.

You know the drill by now, with the aid of, or despite the best efforts of, a team of racers from the internet, beat some unbeatable driverbots, if that’s not an oxymoron.

Beating the bad guys will get us a rather tidy Ferrari 458, so worth a crack I reckon.

Seasonal Playground Games – Team King

Let’s play a game, shall we? A game of Team King, to be precise, and we have to use a Sports Utility Hero vehicle tuned only to B Class 700.

As these events are largely off road, I went with a Porsche Macan Turbo, largely because it doesn’t need any tuning. We’ll save pennies where we can.

Win or lose, you’ll come away with an Audi Quattro, so not a bad return on your investment of time.

Speed Zone – River Run

The first entry in the anti social section of the weekly fun is a Speed Zone, in an S1 Class 900 Lambo, doing an average of 100 mph. Sounds simple, right?

A combination of tricky bends and a river to splash through says different!

I used the same Huracan as the weekly mission, tuned a tad to give share code: 191467248. This a tricky ask, to be sure, but keep it neat and it should be doable.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Speed Zone – Green Hills

This time the challenge is to use an S2 Class Ferrari to hit an average of 170mph in this speed zone.

Now, 170 is known in motor racing circles as “pretty bloody brisk!” and so I went with a bone stock FXX-K Evo, which is already at the ceiling.

Approaching the zone from the west seemed to be marginally easier, but the last bend is a doozy, so cut it as much as you dare.

Another Super Wheelspin will be yours for zooming around.

Speed Zone – Pyramid of the Moon

Another Speed Zone, another Italian car, and this time it is a Bugatti that is needed. A Bugatti tuned to S2 Class 998, capable of hitting an average of 130mph on a short but tricky course.

I went with the old fave the Veyron Super Sport, with a share code of: 513611257. Good Lord, but this is tricky. I got lucky with a bounce from a hump that set me up for the next bend, but the turns are tight and need braking. Cross the line as quick as you can and hold on tight is my advice!

Yet another Super Wheelspin will be yours for winning.

Seasonal Championship – Honda Civic Type R

Take a Honda Civic Type-R, tune it a tad to A Class 800, and lets go racing!

I went with a Type-R from 2018, share code is: 321949486.

It is set up for offroad racing, so it seems to work well for the wet stormy conditions we encounter.

Win the championship, or best two out of three races in a convoy, and you too could be rocking a Honda hoodie.

Seasonal Championship – Euro Cross

Take any Italian car, tune it A Class 800, and then try to win a championship. What could be easier?

Well, I went with a stock Lambo Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante, one of the longest names known to man, and blew the competition into the weeds.

The prize for this high speed tomfoolery? Another song for the Mixtape radio station, Keeno – Nocturne. You hum it, maybe I’ll know it?

Seasonal Championship – Hot Hatch Hustle

More traditional racing now, with a Hot Hatch to a maximum of B Class 700 required to compete. I went with a Renault Clio RS 200, with share code: 262870774. This tune was very happy on wet roads, and won easily.

Your prize for winning? The Peugeot 207 S that you need for the Trial. Handy.

Horizon Tour – Co-op Championships

I think that the Horizon Tour championships are one of the better inventions for this iteration of the game.

You should know the score by now: Join a random team and tackle some driverbots, interspersed with some cross country driving. I can’t recommend a tune for this, as it could literally be any class, but dive in and enjoy yourself is my advice.

No prizes for this save 3 points towards the season rewards, but it is fun.

Part 3 – Other Challenges

As with last week’s Series 13 Summer options, there are a trilogy of things to enjoy here – you can take a photo, race online, and collect stuff.

Photo Challenge – #HorizonAnniversary

While you were busy racing around in the Huracan earlier, did you pop over to the new Horizon 2 festival site? If so, snap a pic. If not, go there now and snap a pic to complete this week’s photo challenge. I’ll post my pic and the all important location below.

Your prize is a “Europe Cover Car” horn. Nope, me neither.

Collectibles – Ben Green Delivery!

Drive about a bit, find some Horizon boards, and smash ten of them to get a prize. What prize you ask? Well, the Huracan we need to complete this week’s challenge, that’s what!

I’ll include a photo of one of the boards to give you a start, but they are pretty easy to see, especially in the dark for some reason.

Horizon Open – Country Roads Take Me Home

Yet more online malarkey to take part in this week, and the challenge is to complete a Horizon Open Cross Country event. Again, as the class can be anything, I can’t really help with a tune, but just do your best.

Luckily this prize is for completing, not winning, and so it should be easy enough.

The prize for taking part? A Dodge Challenger from 1970.

Part 4 – Hot Wheels Events

As always, there are some events found in the Hot Wheels expansion too. Bear in mind you must have reached Elite rank in the expansion in order to take part.

Speed Zone – Supersonic Spiral

An S2 Class 998 speed zone? In the Hot Wheels park? Sounds like a job for the trusty Koenigsegg Agera RS, with share code: 109282883. Clear the speed zone at an average speed in excess of 160 mph to win.

Your prize for winning? Another Super Wheelspin.

Seasonal Championship – Into the Nexus

Finally for this week, we have to take a French car, tune it to S2 Class 998, and win some races.

Now, this is a pretty tall order as most French cars aren’t blessed with that kind of performance, And it is all academic anyway, as you can also choose a Bugatti to take part in this race? How strange.

Well, with Bugatti being an option, the same Veyron from before was pressed into service, and the share code is: 513611257. Surprisingly, not a single French car took part in the championship…

Winning this championship will give you a Renault Clio from 1993.

With Series 13 well underway you’ve probably completed the Horizon Origins story and nailed a lap or two in the Monthly Rivals events. If you haven’t yet, both of those will need completing should you be looking to max out your points and rewards.

Speaking of rewards, Series 13 is full of them. There are the Wuling Sunshine sitting behind 80pts and the 650S Spider for 160pts for full Series completion, but Autumn also adds in the Koenigsegg Agera for 20pts and the Gallardo Spyder for 40pts. You should be able to pick those up relatively easily by following our guide.

We’ll be back with your Series 13 Winter tunes this time next week, but it’s looking like another good one as we head down under to Australia.

If you don’t yet have a copy of Forza Horizon 5 then it is playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or PC via the Xbox Store. It’s on Game Pass too whilst the Hot Wheels expansion costs real money.

Please remember to head into the comments if you like this guide. Or if there are things we can change that will make it easier for you, give us a shout. We’re on the usual socials too.
