As the weather takes a decidedly wintry tone outside, it is autumn in Mexico, and this means Storm Season with the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 39.

Hopefully it isn’t going to go full-on with destruction in the game, but best wrap up warm, just in case. Anyways, another week, another load of challenges to face, and here is the help that I hope you need.

So, let’s get into Series 39 Autumn and see what is on the cards, shall we?

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Super Veloce

The subject of this new week’s weekly challenge is a Lamborghini, the Diablo SV to be exact. Almost the same as the one that Paddy McGuiness stuffed on Top Gear!

This was the replacement for the Countach, and while it had big boots to fill, a top speed of north of 200mph saw it step up to the plate.

Should you not have one already, go and buy it from the Autoshow – they will exchange it for 174,000 of your credits. Or go and win the “Run, Forrest, Run!” Championship to get one for free. It’s okay, I’ll wait!

Chapter 1 – Diablo

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete. If you fancy a bit more speed, try share code : 125472672

Chapter 2 – Breathing Fire

Now simply get to over 200mph. Sounds like a job for the highway!

Chapter 3 – Poster Child

Now we have to paint the car. I went for a lovely Hot Wheels Pink…

Chapter 4 – Hot Pursuit

Now simply win a street race. The tune at the top is very capable of this feat.

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 39.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, Eventlabs, a few PR Stunts, lots of races – that’s what you are getting with Series 39 Autumn. All with an authentic 90’s feel, too…

The Trial – Rally Cat

We’re on a huge roll and once more I found a team that has actually raced and not played dodgems – I never thought I’d see the day!

There’s always that one guy who crashes into the team mates, but overall the streak is still going.

This week the theme is 1990’s Rally cars – and the tuning limit is A Class 800. With these restrictions, I chose a Hoonigan Cossie V2, as always, and the share code is : 140648350.

Let’s hope the racing gods smile down on us this week, as we attempt to win a Peugeot 207 S.

Eventlab 1 – JJOEY ROCKET Presents Horizon Wave Circuit

Retro Supercars is the theme, and up to a maximum of A Class 800. I went with a Lambo Countach, of course! Share code is : 797737461.

A decent track that won’t wow you, but thankfully it won’t disappoint you either. Middle of the road, if you will.

A Super Wheelspin is the prize.  Again.

Eventlab 2 – SUBIE156 Presents Atlantica

We need an A Class Modern Sports Car for this event, so as always it is a GR Supra. Share code : 984217186.

A good course with a few surprises, the see through sections of the road are amazing!

We can win a Banjo Kazooie Spiral Mountain horn for winning here.

Eventlab 3 – JUSTKOSHIRO Presents Autodroma Tierra Prospera

Track Toys to a limit of S1 Class 900 means that it is time for the Porsche 911 GT2 from 2012, share code is : 129256081.

A long and fast flowing course with a decent challenge, I enjoyed this one.

We can win a BMW M5 ‘88 for triumphing here.

PR Stunt 1 – Speed Trap – Bypass

This week, all the PR stunts need the same car, an B Class 700 German car from the 90’s. It’s going to be BMW, isn’t it? I went with an M3 from 1997, share name is “M397B” with my GT, Red620Ti.

Hit the trap at over 125 mph to win yet another Super Wheelspin. For a change.

Approach from the south, but watch the bends!

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Zone – Cliffside

We need to average over 105mph for this challenge.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 – Drift Zone – Farmland Trail

For this event, a drift score of over 135,000 points is needed. Despite being AWD, the Beemer will slide with a swift yank of the handbrake.

Another Super Wheelspin?

Seasonal Championship 1 – Run, Forrest, Run!

We need a Muscle or Sports Car tuned to A Class 800 for this event, and so I chose a Ford Mustang, predictably. The Shelby GT500 from 2013, share code : 402868577.

For winning, it is a Lambo Diablo we can take home.

Seasonal Championship 2 – 90’s Icons – Lotus Carlton

I remember when these cars came out, and the police were predicting mayhem on the roads as they had nothing that could keep up with this car. Fun times!

Vauxhall and B Class 700 are the criteria for this championship, and so I chose a stock Monaro VXR – slidey!

For winning out, we can take home a Lotus Carlton, surprisingly!

Seasonal Championship 3 – The NSX-Files

I want to believe!

We need an NSX tuned to A Class 800 here, you’ll be surprised to learn. I went with a 2005 NSX-R, and the share name is “NSXA” with the GT Red620Ti.

We can win another Corvette ‘95 for nailing this championship.

Part 3: Other Challenges

A good mix of things to try this week, with a photo, a treasure hunt, and some Hide and Seek.

Photo Challenge – #THECARLTON

This week we are back to taking pictures of cars, with the Lotus Carlton being next in the spotlight. If you don’t have one, win the “90’s Icons : Lotus Carlton” race championship.

Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece.

The reward? A new horn – Police Siren. Woo. And indeed, woo!

Treasure Hunt – Need For Steed

The clue reads “The Berlinetta is a top speed setter, a Street Racer at its best…A Class at most but you’ll want to boast, as you uncover the treasure chest!”.

So, win a Street Race in an A Class Ferrari F355 Berlinetta then! You can win one in the Hot Wheels championship should you not have one to hand.

Pretty straightforward, and while stock trim is a tad slidy, it is certainly doable.

The chest contains 90,000 credits, and the location is shown below.

Hide and Seek

As has been the case for the last few weeks, it’s time to play the much hyped new game mode, Hide & Seek. No pointers here, mainly because it is super simple. It is a lot easier to be a Hider than a Seeker…

Take home a Super Wheelspin, to add to the collection.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Canyon Jump

The vehicles for the PR Stunts in the next two sections are the same – an S1 Class American car from the 90’s. I went with an Escort Cosworth, as you may have expected, and the share code is : 415958589.

Clear over 380 metres to win. This is very tough, you need to hit the ramp at over 180 mph to stand a chance.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Hot on their Wheels

Hot Wheels cars, only tuned to A Class 800. Sounds like a small choice, right? Well, I had a few cars to choose from, and went with the stock Twin Mill. It’s a bit slidey but should be good.

Completing the championship will get us a Ferrari F355, ideal for the Treasure Hunt challenge.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Tres Colinas

Same car rules. Same car! A rally beast like the Cosworth should batter this course.

Average the zone at over 90 mph to win out. Don’t be afraid to really throw the Cossie into the bends, it loves it!

The prize is another Super Wheelspin.  Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – All about Apex

We need a Retro Saloon from the 90’s tuned to B Class 700. I chose the Audi RS4 Avant, despite it being an estate, and the share code is: 172973840.

The reward for racing? A Clio Williams.

The rewards for Series 39 and Autumn in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 39 moving along nicely, we have some new cars to work toward: the Mercedes Benz 500E for 80 points and a GMC Typhoon for 160 points. No exclusive cars this time, sadly. But complete the challenges and the first should be in your grasp this week.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 39 – and we are back to only two this week – Chihuahua Circuit and Emerald Circuit.  The prize total stays the same though, 4 points for making sure you turn in a clean lap.

Grab enough points and Series 39 Autumn also sees you given access to the exclusive Mitsubishi FTO for 20 points. The darling of Max Power for so long finally comes to FH5! Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Backstage Pass, and these can be swapped for hard to find cars in the game. Handy!

With Autumn done, tune in next week for the next week of Back to the 90’s, followed by Spring. And then the next series…

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5.  It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.

You’re right, had a bit of a blond moment mate. I did give the right code though in my defence! Boss editor man has changed it.
