Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 41 – Spring

Find us on Threads

We come to the end of Series 41 of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in Forza Horizon 5 and whilst we’re sticking with this being Spring, much like the previous weeks that have made up Series 41, it’s still Winter in Mexico. Confused? Yep, but who cares when we’ve got events and races to partake in.

So, for the last time in 2024, come with me as I reveal not only what you have to do, but the cars and tunes you’ll need to make your Holiday dreams come true. As long as you dream about virtual cars, of course!

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Super Cooper

With that as a name, there can only be one car for this week’s challenge, can’t there? Yes it is a Mini, the John Cooper Works GP one from 2012 to be precise.

Shoehorning over 200 BHP into something the size of a rollerskate is always going to be a recipe for fun, so let’s get out there and burn some rubber!

Should you not have one in your garage, they are on sale at the Autoshow, priced at 38,000 Credits. Alternatively, if you do the Hot Wheels championship Dragon your Wheels, it is the prize for winning out there. Save the pennies!

Chapter 1 – Mini but Mighty

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.

Chapter 2 – A Hatch in Hot Demand

As they only made 2,000 of these cars, go and drive 5 miles. Nope, me neither.

Chapter 3 – In the Works

As the interior of the car has been stripped back to make things racier, we now need to score 2 stars at the Swampland Speed Trap. This is 110 mph.

Look for share name “JCW” with my GT, Red620Ti, to make this a bit easier.

Chapter 4 Hot Lapper Hatch

Now we simply need to beat any rival’s ghost. Drag strip here we come!

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 41.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

Series 41 Spring welcomes The Trial, only one Eventlab, a couple of PR Stunts, some races…

The Trial – Tunnel Vision

This week, the challenge is to take an A Class 800 Audi RS or BMW M Sport car and see which is quickest. Got to be an Audi, I reckon, and so I used an RS6 Avant from 2015 , share code : 736888629.

We will attempt to win a 911 GT3 RS from 2019.

Eventlab 1 – MISETERX74 Presents Anni’s HJarbour

We need an A Class 800 Retro Super Car, and so I chose a Lambo Countach, as you would, share code : 797737461.

A reasonable track that is fun to drive, just be careful of the apexes as the lumps there will launch the car. Ask me how I know…

The prize is a BMW M4.

PR Stunt 1 – Speed Trap – Tulum

This week, all the PR Stunts need a X Class 999 car, and as they all seem to involve speed in one form or another, it is the Koenigsegg Jesko that I chose.

The share name you need is “Jesko” with my GT, Red620Ti.

We need to hit 215 mph to win out.

If you do it, take a Super Wheelspin home.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – East Resort

Same car for this, I fancy.

Hit the trap at north of 220 mph to win out. I love this car!

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Zone – Green Hills

A bit of average speed driving to round things off, and the target is 200 mph. Stay in the Jesko!

With a couple of nasty bends, this one is pretty tricky.

Another Super Wheelspin. It’s like socks for Xmas…

Seasonal Championship 1 – Festive-al Racers

Classic Sports Cars and C Class 600 are the limitations this week, so I went with a Fiat 124 Spider, share code : 156042119.

For winning out, we can take home an Audi RS6.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Snow Business

A Class 800 and Iconic Movie Cars are what we have to play with. I chose a Lamborghini Countach and the share code is : 797737461.

Not sure what film it’s from, mind!

For winning, it is a Classic Cinema Outfit we take home.

Part 3: Other Challenges

Three things to turn your hand to this week. All pretty easy.

Photo Challenge – #ALPINESKIING

Puns, puns everywhere…

Photograph any Alpine at the Switchbacks speed zone for this challenge. See the top of the piece for my artistic effort.

The location you need to be in is below.

The reward? A set of snow knee high socks. Even more socks!

Horizon Tour – Co-op Racing

Complete a Horizon Tour to complete this challenge. I can’t recommend a tune, as you could be faced with anything, but join in and it should be fine.

Take home a whole 8 points for this. Nearly as many as the Trial and a lot easier!

If you manage it, take home a Gingerbread Outfit.

Treasure Hunt – Polaris Express

The clue for the final Treasure Hunt of 2024 rewards “This trap is back at the Baja Scramble, so head on up and see. 2 stars your goal, so don’t you amble, and treasure you’ll guarantee!”

The picture shows a Polaris buggy, so I guess get in one and score two stars at the Horizon Baja Speed Trap, and this equates to 70 mph.

I used a RZR Pro, and the share name is “RZR” with my GT, Red620Ti. The chest contains 300 FP. The location is shown below.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Ice Cauldron

We need an S1 Class 900 car for this challenge, and when it comes to drifting, it is the Formula Drift MKIV Supra every time. Stock trim will work perfectly.

Simply score over 175,000 drift points. This car can do it with its eyes closed! Weirdly, this is easier going uphill…

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Dragon Your Wheels

The class this time is S1 Class 900, and the car has to be a Modern Supercar. I went with a  Nissan GT-R Black Edition and the share code you need is : 394811233.

The reward for racing? A Mini JCW from 2012, we needed in the Weekly Car Challenge.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Dunes

We need an A Class 800 car for this jump, and so I went for the Jeep Trailcat, share code for mine is : 118411445.

Jump over 190m to win out. Take a good long run up across country.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – Shifting Gears

A C Class 700 “offroad” car is needed for this event, and so I chose a Ford Ranger T6 Rally Raid, and the share code is : 166960440.

Completing the championship will get us a Alpine A110, which we can use for the photo challenge.

The rewards for Series 41 and Spring in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 41 now at Spring (or Winter again if you must), the reward cars are in reach – It’s the BMW i4 for 80 points and an Audi RS4 Avant for 160 points that are up for grabs.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 41 – Four of them to be precise! – Reservorio Sprint, Playa Azul Circuit, Rocosa Sprint  and for the battery lovers out there, Estadio Circuit. Should keep us out of mischief. The prize total stays the same though, 4 points for making sure you turn in a clean lap.

Grab enough points and Series 41 Spring also sees you given access to the Exclusive Cadillac CTS-V wagon for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Backstage Pass, and these can be swapped for hard to find cars in the game. Handy!

Next week is next year, and what better way to kick things off than with a whole new series? Yes, Series 42 will be dawning, and goes by the name of Horizon Extreme. Want to know what is in store? Well, tune in next week – same time, same place!

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
