Latest Reviews

We’re getting closer to the end of Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, all before things are switched up considerably and these articles begin to become less relevant. Until then, I’ll continue to bring you some hints and tops, this time around focusing on Series 43 Winter – penultimate week of the Modern Muscle Series as it dawns in Mexico.

Not much more to say apart from that here are the cars and tunes I think you’ll need to get all the prizes this week. If you’re ready, start your engines! Series 43 Winter here we come.

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Project Titan

The subject this week is the Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, a show car built to get Americans excited about a different pick up truck.

Should you not have one in your garage, they are on sale at the Autoshow, priced at 50,000 Credits. Not too pricey this week.

Chapter 1 – Showpiece

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete. There is a tune for it, but it’s listed in the PR Stunts section as we need to keep it down to D Class 500.

Chapter 2 – Ready for Adventure

Built to be all ruffty tuffty, now lets see if we can win a cross country race – Even if the 0-60 time is measured with a calendar rather than a stopwatch!

Chapter 3 – Bigger is Better

Because the bodywork was extended three inches on each side, we now need to win three stars at Danger Signs. Maybe start with the PR Stunt we need to do?

Chapter 4 – Special Edition

Now simply take a photo of the truck. Job done!

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 43.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

Series 43 Winter has a whole list of things to have a crack out, so let’s go!

The Trial – The Classics

We need to use a Chevrolet Classic Muscle car here, tuned to C Class 600, and so I chose a Camaro Super Sport from 1969, share code : 111544579.

Everything went smoothly this week for a change, so thanks to my team mates for once.

Anyways, crack on here and attempt to win a Corvette from 2015.

Eventlab 1 – HARLEY1300 Presents Sunset Circuit

Track Toys and S1 Class 900 are the restrictions here, so I went for a Porsche 911 GT2 RS from 2012, and the share code for mine is : 129256081.

A very long circuit, that is mainly a nice drive down the highway and then back through the countryside. Some tight bends to contend with, but I’m not overly impressed, sadly.

The prize is a Ford Mustang from 2000.

Eventlab 2 – SP33DK1NG555 Presents Boulder Lake Raceway

Despite the makers silly name, for this track we need Modern Sports Cars tuned to A Class 800, and as always I went for the Toyota GR Supra, share code : 984217186.

A fast and flowing track that suits the choice of car perfectly, this one is fun to drive.

We can win a Super wheelspin for our trouble. You know, those things that are in short supply?

PR Stunt 1 – Danger Sign – Ridge Crest

This week, both PR Stunts need that Nissan Titan from 2016, tuned to a heady D Class 500. Look out for the tyre smoke!

Look for share name “Titan” with my GT, Red620Ti.

We need to jump over 140 metres for this first one. I hit the ramp at 90 mph to clear it, but the hill is a killer.

If you do it, take a Super Wheelspin home.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Vado del Rio

Same car but some speed driving to do now – 90 mph to complete this challenge. Not too tricky. Although the dirt surface makes it exciting… Approaching from the south was easier.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Prime Plymouth

Off to the South West now for this next races series…

Just kidding, it’s the car maker Plymouth, not the English seaside town we need! The tuning limit is C Class 600, so I chose a Plymouth Fury, Christine herself, and the share code is : 868801039.

For winning out, we can take home a Holden Monaro.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Van Life

Van and Utilities to a max of A Class 800 for this set of races, and so I went with a HSV Maloo, and the share code is : 101727402. We’ll get the shopping home quick anyway!

For winning, it is a Ram Power Wagon that we can take home.

Seasonal Championship 3 – Hustle and Muscle

Retro Muscle cars and a tuning ceiling of B Class 700 means that I chose a Ford SVT Cobra R, which is basically following my rule about if it’s a muscle car, you need a Mustang!

Share name is “Fox” with my GT, Red620Ti.

The prize is a Predator Howl Car Horn. Sounds good!

Part 3: Other Challenges

The Treasure Hunt, a Photo Challenge, Horizon Open…Not much of a change from last week really!

Photo Challenge – #SURFSUP

Photograph any Pickup or 4X4 with the Neon Tank in Bahia de Plano Much like last week, it’s obviously easier to find at night!

See the top of the piece for my artistic effort.

The location you need to be in is below.

The reward? A Black Drift Zone Tee.

Horizon Open : Midnight Muscle

Do some races this week, and while I can’t give you a tune as it could be any class, grab a Modern muscle car and have at it.

If you manage it, a  Reaper Cackle car horn will be yours.

Treasure Hunt – 3,2,1

The clue reads “Getting ready to race at the start of the strip, a few honks of your horn and away you zip!.”

The picture shows a Chevy Bel Air, and I guess we need to beep our horn? I lined up with the metal at the start line at the Mexico Festival site and pipped away, and hey presto!

The treasure chest contains 300 FP, and the location is shown below.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Canyon Fire

S1 Class Modern Muscle cars are needed, and this time I chose a Shelby GT500 and the share code is: 335181307. This is the 2020 model for the avoidance of doubt.

Jump over 340 metres to win. I hit the ramp at 169 mph to win easily.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Breathing Fire

Same restrictions as above means you may as well stay in the same car!

The reward for racing? A 2015 Challenger.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Canyon Rush

We need a Retro Rally car, tuned to B Class 700 for the next two events. Saves on all the faffing about I guess!

I chose a #5 Ford Escort , share code is : 793610371.

Hit the trap at over 120 mph to win out.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – Retro Reapers

Same car as above!

Completing the championship will get us a 1965 Ford Mustang.

The rewards for Series 43 and Winter in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 43 at Winter, new reward cars are available – It’s the Pontiac Trans Am ‘73 for 80 points and an AMC Javelin for 160 points that are up for grabs. The first should be in your hot little hands, and the second well within reach.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 43 – only two this time around though. There is the Granjas de Tapalpa  and the Sierra Verde Sprint. The prize total stays the same though, 4 points for making sure you turn in a clean lap.

Grab enough points and Series 43 Winter also sees you given access to the Pro Stock Camaro for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Backstage Pass, and these can be swapped for hard to find cars in the game. Handy!

Next week we’ll be back with the final weekly article from me, so you won’t want to miss it! Well, I hope you won’t…

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile, and soon on PlayStation 5. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
