Time and tide wait for no man, as the saying goes, and so it proves to be in Mexico and the world of Forza Horizon 5. The Series 8 clock has rolled around to Autumn, the Storm Season, and with it have come a whole heap of new challenges to get our teeth into.
We have the usual suspects, and a few surprises as well. So come with us to the stormy streets as we prepare you with the best cars and tunes for completion of the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 8 – Autumn.
Part 1 – Weekly Challenge – Sport. It’s in the name
This is the usual warm up to the action in the season, where we are asked to get a car, and do stuff in it. Not anything surprising, I know, but this time the car we have to have is the Audi S1 from 2015.
Chapter 1: Vorsprung Durch Technik
A mere 35,000 credits from the Autoshow – get in and drive the vehicle. Tick!
Chapter 2: Every Day Extremes
For this step, we have to earn 10 stars at PR Stunts.
There are no restrictions, so basically whatever you fancy.
I personally did some Danger Signs as they seemed to be the fastest way to rack up stars.
Chapter 3: Turbo Sports
For this challenge, we need to maintain 150 mph for 10 seconds.
Now, as stock, this car is a bit out of ideas at that kind of speed, so a little light tuning may be in order. I fettled it to an S2 Class car from the starting B Class and the share code is 926987943.
A frankly ridiculous 1270 bhp means that this little car can now do 240 mph, so head to the highway and let ‘er rip!

Chapter 4: The Four Rings
Now that we’ve tuned the car to tear up the tarmac, we need to go offroad and win 4 Dirt Scramble events. Sigh.
Another trip to the garage, another fettling session, and this the share code now: 162876202, a much more sensible A Class tune.
Win 4 Scrambles and the challenge is complete.
Part 2 – Weekly Challenges
This week, those of us who are fans of a race or two are spoiled, with a full three Seasonal Championships to have a crack at, as well as The Trial and the usual assortment of PR Stunts and Eventlab madness. Without further ado, here’s a breakdown…
Eventlab – UNWORTHYPLEB Presents Caldera Mountain Climb
For this event, we need any Unlimited Offroad vehicle tuned to a maximum of A-Class 800, and as usual in these situations, I reach for the Jeep Trailcat with the share code of 118411445
This is the usual kind of Eventlab nonsense, and with a massive jump in the middle of the track, it is very easy to lose your way, so be aware.
At least we win an Audi RS6 from 2009 for our troubles.
The Trial – Stock Showdown: BMW M2 Coupe
Another week, another stock tune challenge for The Trial, this time in the M2 Coupe from BMW. Finding a good team is the most important part of this challenge, and since it’s stock tune only, you only need to buy the car to take part.
Pedal it to victory and a BMW i8 will be your reward.
Danger Sign – Los Jardines
On the face of it, this seems like a tall order. Jump a Mercedes Benz Unimog, a huge great truck, more than 110 metres. Oh, and tuned to a maximum of D Class 500? Madness.
My tune for this is: 803535460. It kind of limped over the distance, like an automotive Eddie the Eagle.
Your Prize? A Super Wheelspin.
Trailblazer – Barranco
A Porsche Macan Turbo from 2019, a maximum of B Class 700, and complete the Trailblazer with 35 seconds remaining on the clock. This is a full five seconds quicker than the previous three star time, so it’s a challenge all right.
My tune was completely stock! Top tip is to go as far left as you dare at the start to avoid the rocks, and then it’s all about the trees at the bottom.
And another Super Wheelspin will be yours if you crack it.
Speed Trap – Autopista
A German car, tuned to A Class 800, going past a speed trap? Easy, yeah?
Well, hold on there, as the Seasonal objective is 206mph, in an A Class car. Luckily it is on a straight highway, so I used a Mercedes Benz 300SL, lightly massaged to get maximum speed out of the beast. The share code is : 114764563 and the car is absolutely hysterically fast. Just don’t try and go round corners.
Yet another Super Wheelspin is up for grabs.
Seasonal Championship – Street Contest
As the name might suggest, this is a Street race, and is restricted to either a BMW or a VW car, tuned to a Maximum of B Class 700. Given the choice of either of those brands, I’d have to side with a BMW, and so I looked for a car with a bit of tuning room built in.
I settled on an M3 from 1991, the E30 model, and tuned it to the limit. The share code is: 136256627
Winning this championship will give you a nice BMW M3-GTR, the hero car from Need for Speed Most Wanted. Blue and silver paint job absolutely mandatory, of course.

Seasonal Championship – German Quality
This championship is restricted to a German, AWD car, to a maximum of A Class 800. I don’t know about you, but German + AWD spells Audi Quattro to me, so that’s what I went with. Being Offroad, the AWD will certainly help!
The share code is: 677258358. Fire up the Quattro.
Oh, and you’ll get a German Engineering Hoodie if you win. Er, yay?
Seasonal Championship – Zero to Hero
This is a Dirt series, with only German Sports Utility Hero vehicles being valid, to a maximum of B Class 700. I went straight to the Porsche Macan Turbo again, in stock trim, so as to keep cost low. There is a cost of living crisis on you know.
A win in this championship, or best two out of three if you are in a convoy, will reward you with a Porsche Cayenne. A strong contender for world’s ugliest car, after the Bentley Bentayga of course…
Part 3 – Other Challenges
Slim pickings this week, with only a photo challenge to complete.
Photo Challenge – #TURBOTAKEOFF
Photograph the Porsche 944 Turbo from 1989 in Aerodromo en La Selva. As usual for this challenge, I will share my artistic attempt at photography, and the location. Simples, no?
We will win the Classic Running Man Emote for our trouble, which is better than a poke in the eye, I guess.

Series 8 – Autumn is fairly testing, but follow our guide and you’ll get a couple of neat cars dropping into your garage. Points mean prizes here and remember that there’s the Monthly Rivals hot lap to complete too. Earn enough points during the Autumn months and you’ll discover that you get access to two new cars. It’ll also help you towards the full series rewards of the Mercedes AMG E63 (80pts) and the AutoUnion Type D (160pts)
Series 8 Winter and Spring challenges will be here before you know it. Stay tuned for our guides to those.
To play Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or PC, you’ll need to visit the Xbox Store. It’s freely downloadable through Game Pass.
The comments are below these words too – let us know if any of our tunes helped you out.
Thank you so much for these!! ‘91 M3 was a lifesaver for that championship. I couldn’t get past 4th place in the build I made for it on my own lol then I found this!
Thanks Dallas, I’m glad it helped!
Fantastic guide as always
Thanks for the kind words, my friend
