Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Challenges Guide – Series 2 Summer

What’s that? It’s Series 2 of the Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Challenges? Fancy a guide to help you through the Summer seaon of Horizon Decades? We’ve got you sorted with all the cars, tunes, hints and tips you’ll need to unlock the reward cars for the season, and series, ahead as Summer starts turning up the heat.  

The Series 2 Summer challenges will run from June 18th-25th, so you’ve got plenty of time to load up Forza Horizon 6 and get involved. Remember, you can play this through Game Pass if you like. 

As always, the aim is to stack up Festival Playlist Points by completing events across the map, unlocking the featured seasonal rewards before the next season rotation arrives. Of course, once Series 2 Summer is done, we’ll be moving on to the rest of Series 2, with Autumn, Winter and Spring guides. 

Here’s everything included in the Forza Horizon 6 Series 2 Summer Festival Playlist, along with our recommended cars, tune setups in the form of share codes, and challenge tips. You may well need them. 

What Is The Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist?

If you’re new around these parts, the Festival Playlist is Forza Horizon 6’s rotating weekly challenge system, offering players the chance to complete seasonal events in exchange for Playlist Points, reward cars, Wheelspins and Credits.

Each Series lasts four weeks and is split into Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring editions, with Season 2 running from June 18th for 4 weeks. From there, we move into Season 3. Should you be looking for all our Challenge Guides, we’ve got you covered. Series 2 kicks off the Horizon Decades celebration by throwing players back into the 1980s, with everything from a DeLorean DMC-12 and BMW M3 to the iconic Lamborghini Countach QV available throughout the week.

Completing events across the map increases your seasonal progress, unlocking exclusive rewards before the Playlist resets the following week.

Festival Playlist Reward Cars

This week’s seasonal rewards are tied to Playlist Point totals earned across the various activities available around the map.

• Points – 20 | Reward – 1989 VW Golf Rallye (Rare)
• Points – 40 | Reward – 1988 Lamborghini Countach QV (Epic)

A bit of 80’s nostalgia to kick off the Decades Series, with two icons of the car world. They have made it slightly harder to get them, though, with an increase in the points required. The Monthly cars aren’t bad either, with an exclusive Porsche and a Lotus to work towards.

Event: Monthly Rivals

• Points: 4pts
• Circuit: Narai-Juku Circuit
• Car:1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau 
• Reward: Super Wheelspin

Different circuit, different car, same basic setup: get a clean lap. It can be the slowest lap ever as long as you don’t hit a wall! Easier said than done, as this thing likes to slide…

Event: Weekly Challenge

• Points:
• Challenge: Blast from the Past
• Car: 1982 Delorean DMC-12
• Reward: 25,000 Credits

Most famous for it’s appearance in a series of films about time travel (You know the ones!), the Delorean is, out of the box, weedy and underpowered. Still, nothing a bit of tweaking can’t fix! The base car will set you back 72,000 credits at the Autoshow. 

Or, do things out of order and complete the Street Runner championship for a free one. Every little helps!

Step 1 – Own and drive the car. Simple enough! As long as you have the pennies…Or have won the race!

Step 2 – Maintain 88 mph or more for ten seconds. What is that referencing?

Stage 3 -Take a photo of the car .If you poke it and make it slide, this will also tick off the Photo Challenge for the week.

Stage 4 – For the final challenge, win a Road Race in the car. Pick your best and go for it!

Event: Daily Challenges

• Points: 1pt x7
• Challenge: 7 Individual Challenges
• Car: Varies
• Reward: Credits

Daily challenges return, and as the name suggests, a new one is unlocked every day. Keep checking back to find out what you need to do! There is an achievement for earning every point in a season, and these are key to doing that.

Event: Photo Challenge

• Points: 2pts
• Challenge: #TheJoyOfDrifting
• Car: Anything from the 80’s
• Reward: ForzaLink phrase – Just a happy little accident

Nice and easy this week, simply photograph an 80’s car drifting..See the top of the article for my efforts.

Event: Treasure Hunt

• Points: 3pts
• Challenge: Find the chest!
• Car: No Restriction
• Reward: 100,000 credits

We need to find a chest in the Nangan Region for this challenge. Nice and straightforward, especially if you have a look at the map I’ll drop below! It appears to be on a beach somewhere…

Event: Seasonal Championship – Street Racing

• Points: 5pts
• Championship: Spring into Action
• Car: 1980’s Retro Saloons 0- C Class
• Reward: Delorean DMC-12

All of the 80’s cars needed this week, and for this event I chose a 1988 BMW M3, the E30 model. The share code is 979844503. There are only stock tires on it, so go a bit steady!

Win all three races solo, or best two of three if you’re in a convoy, and the prize will be yours.

Event: Seasonal Championship – Road

• Points: 5pts
• Championship: What’s the Hatch?
• Car: 1980’s Retro Hot Hatch – D Class
• Reward:BMW M3 1988

Blimey, we may be better off walking! From a choice of two cars, I went with the Golf GTi from 1983, and the share code for mine is 134610955.

Event: Seasonal Championship -The Trial

• Points: 5pts
• Championship: Pus it to the Limit
• Car: 1980’s Total Rally – B Class
• Reward: #2 Audi S1

It’s back! Unbeatable Drivatars, a team of helpful (or not) randoms off the interwebs, and a set of races to win: what could possibly go wrong? I chose a Lancia Delta S2 from 1988 as my steed, and the share code is 682869281.

There’s not a lot of tuning headroom left in it, to be fair. However, it may come in handy again in the near future…

On my first attempt at this, the whole team quit – Way to play as a team, guys!

Event: Speed Zone

• Points: Wheelspin
• Location: Deep Forest
• Car: 1980’s – B  Class
• Reward: Wheelspin

An offroad speed zone? Needs an off road car, and so the Delta S4 comes in handy again, as I predicted.

We need to average 95 mph through here, and with a bit of practice this is doable. Coming from the top side seemed easier.

Event: Drag Meet

• Points: 2pts
• Location:  Ito Half Mile
• Car: 1980’s – B Class
• Reward: Wheelspin

A B Class car from the 80’s that can do a half mile in under 21 seconds? I used the Delta S4, as it turned in a respectable 19.9 second run!

Event: Trailblazer

• Points: 2pts
• Location :Nachi Falls
• Car: 1980’s – B Class
• Reward: Wheelspin

Off road means a Rally car, surely, and so the Lancia Delta S4 from the Trial. Again!

We need to have 43 seconds or more left on the clock. Stick to the valley, but be careful of rocks around the river.

Event: Touge Showdown

• Points: 2pts
• Location : Soni Circuit
• Car: Ford Mustang
• Reward: Ford F-150 1986

Complete a Touge Showdown Championship online in any Ford Mustang. It could be any class, so no tunes, but at least you don’t need to win, eh? I can’t think of many worse cars for Touge than a stock Mustang – Tokyo Drift lied to you!

Event: Horizon Play – Hide and Seek – 5 vs 1

• Points: 2pts
• Car: Not required
• Reward: AMG Hammer Coupe

Play some Hide and Seek for the final challenge this week, and as the cars are provided for you, I can put my feet up!

Fastest Ways To Earn Playlist Points This Week

If you’re looking to unlock the seasonal rewards quickly, you may want to prioritise the easier activities first. If that is indeed the case, we recommend ticking off the Photo challenge first (as always, this is super easy). Then hit up the Treasure Hunt. 

This should allow you to stack up a healthy hit of progress through the Playlist before even touching the longer Seasonal Championships. Just leave The Trial to last.
