You just never know when Microsoft are going to surprise Xbox Game Pass subscribers with announcements of more impending arrivals, but that’s what they’ve done today as four extra games have been unveiled for January 2019.
The one that’s probably seen as the real powerhouse of the upcoming library additions, despite being a little old now, is Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. It’s a fantastic game which sees you taking on the role of a ranger named Talion, who has a selection of nifty powers courtesy of a fusion with a Wraith. You’ll make a fair few enemies for life when fighting a variety of Orcs in this action-adventure too, mainly due to the presence of the awesome Nemesis System. The other standout Xbox One game coming to Xbox Game Pass is We Happy Few, a survival experience in a rather trippy world. It’s hard to explain the whole concept, so you’re probably best giving our full review of it a read in order to truly grasp what a joy it is.
The following list of games will be available in January 2019, with exact dates specified, via Xbox Game Pass:
- Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (24th January)
- Saints Row: The Third (24th January)
- The LEGO Movie Videogame (17th January)
- We Happy Few (17th January)
