No matter what you think of State of Decay 2, it cannot be said that the addition of a new DLC pack to allow us to rid the world of the zombie hordes a bit quicker isn’t a good thing. Which is a bit of luck really, because with the Independence Pack content, should allow just that.
Priced up at £4.19 and available right now from the Xbox Store, the State of Decay 2 Independence Pack brings a number of flashy new toys for us to utilise, including vehicles, new noisemakers, melee weapons and more explosive goodies.
The cars are the most interesting, with 3 crazy new additions now being added. The Pyrohawk is a simple hatchback that lets you shoot fireworks, the Burninator should please those looking for a flamethrower equipped truck and the Meatwagon will happily let you drop chunks of red meat at the zombie masses.
Should you prefer to take on your undead adventures on foot then the Freedom Ringer and BBQ Fork will be best suited for times of close up attacks, whilst a multitude of explosive offerings – the Pyro Launcher, Starshank Launcher, Reign o’ Fire, XL Firework Shell and intriguingly named, Bouncing Boris – should add a bit of spark to the game.
If you wish to get the pack added to your State of Decay 2 adventure, then the Xbox Store should be your next port of call. Unless of course you wish to know more about the game itself, in which case our full review should sort you out.
