It’s not been out in the wild for very long at all, but already the teams behind Remnant: From the Ashes are gearing up to deliver new content to players around the globe. And with the fast approaching free update that is due to hit, a whole new game mode and another dungeon will be put in place.

Perfect World Entertainment and Gunfire Games have today announced that they’ll be continuing the uprising with a free update for Remnant: From the Ashes on Xbox One, PS4 and PC from September 12th 2019.

Come that date a new Adventure Mode will promise to keep us enthralled in the mysterious worlds of Remnant by bringing a new layer of exploration to the game. This will allow players to ”re-roll” through the following biomes: Ruined Earth, Rhom and Yaesha, all without having to play all the way through the main campaign.

This can be activated from the World Stone in Ward 13, allowing you the chance to select to roll one of these dynamically generated biomes, before continuing to explore dungeons, encounter new enemies, or fight off the toughest of world bosses. In addition to this though, it’ll also give the opportunity for players to uncover all of the game’s secrets, all of their progress and items obtained in Adventure Mode stay with their character. In fact, you’ll be able to keep rolling in order to obtain all of the many weapons, armors, mods, and other items the game has to offer.

The Adventure Mode isn’t the only upcoming freebie for Remnant players though and come September 19th 2019, “Leto’s Lab” will drop in to play. This will take us on an all-new quest through Research Station Alpha, delivering challenging new puzzles mixed with intense combat. Oh, and just for good measure, it’ll include a new boss fight. This new addition will also shed more light on Remnant’s intricate backstory and its enigmatic red crystals – the World Stones.

About “Leto’s Lab”:

“Leto’s Lab” takes you on a quest through Research Station Alpha. The lab was established to research the mysterious red crystals, with the initial goal of using them as a source of infinite energy. The head researcher, Leto Apostolakis, theorized the crystals could be used for something else – to bridge space-time for near instantaneous travel. He was the one to unlock the World Stone on Ward 16 allowing mankind to take their first fledgling trips to other worlds. Leto’s experiments quickly diverged from their initial goal as he started using the World Stones to fuel a series of dubious experiments. The lab continued operating for months after the Root invaded, but was ultimately forced to evacuate when one of Leto’s experiments went awry.

If you’re a Remnant: From The Ashes player then you’ll find both Adventure Mode and Leto’s Lab will arrive completely free of charge, kicking in via an automatic update to the game. Make sure you head in and check them both out come the 12th and 19th September.

Should you not have fallen in with the third person survival shooter that is set in the most post-apocalyptic of worlds, then you can grab it right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
