December. The time for eating. The time for drinking. The time for gifting. And as Xbox gamers there is no gift better than that of free games. Want to check out which free Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles will be given away through the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for December 2017?
Confirmed today are the Xbox Games With Gold titles for December 2017. Now, as always, you’ll need to be the holder of a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription, but should you have that part sorted, then the guys at Xbox HQ will happily gift you four free titles. Two free native Xbox One titles lead the way, but that shouldn’t mean you should dismiss the Xbox 360 free-ness, especially as Backwards Compatibility is a thing.
So, for December 2017 the following games will be given away for free:
- Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide – Xbox One – 1st-31st Dec 2017
- Back to the Future: The Game – 30th Anniversary Edition – Xbox One – 16th Dec 2017 – 15th Jan 2018
- Child of Eden – Xbox 360 – 1st-15th Dec 2017
- Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death – Xbox 360 – 16th-31st Dec 2017
What do you think? A decent little line up of gifts to see us through December? Or could the Xbox Games With Gold scheme have done so much more? Don’t forget to leave you thoughts in the comments below, or hit us up on the usual social channels. We’d love to hear from you.
If you haven’t realised by now, the arrival of new free games means those given away throughout November 2017 will soon be going back up in price. If you have failed to so far hit the download button for Tales From The Borderlands – The Complete Season, Trackmania Turbo or Deadfall Adventures, then you should get to it asap. We’ve got an article that takes an in-depth look at each – it can be found right here.
Not impressed to be honest – thought there would be at least one AAA game amongst them with it being Christmas – or maybe an OG Xbox game? I bought Back to the Future in the Black Friday sale so have just had that refunded so at least it’s saved me a fiver!
The Warhammer game was on my list to check out when it launched but I never got round to it. I don’t know much about the other 3 but it is free games so I’m on board!
