May is nearly here, summer is just around the corner and a whole ton of gaming opportunities are on the horizon. But it’s not just the new games you need to worry yourself about, and no matter whether you have a backlog from hell, or are always on the lookout for new experiences, the Xbox Games With Gold scheme is here to thrust four new titles towards all Xbox One and Xbox 360 players – for free! But what are they? Well, May’s free offerings have now been confirmed and they are looking pretty damn sweet indeed.
So, running from the 1st May till the end of the month (and in the case of one of the freebies, a little beyond that), we will see the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for May 2019 providing Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers the chance to get hands on with the following for zero price…
- Marooners – Xbox One – 1st-31st May 2019
- The Golf Club 2019 featuring PGA TOUR – Xbox One – 16th May – 15th June 2019
- Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon – Xbox – 1st-15th May 2019
- Comic Jumper – Xbox 360 – 16th-31st May 2019
As always, you’ll need a valid Xbox Live Gold membership to hand in order to make the most of what the Games With Gold label brings, but with that in place, and an Xbox console under your TV, you are pretty well set for another decent month of gaming.
Of course, the confirmation of these latest free titles does mean that those which have come before them – the free Games With Gold games for April 2019 – will soon be going back up in price. Make sure you get your downloads of The Technomancer, Outcast – Second Contact and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter moving before time runs out.
