If it’s a Game Pass subscription you have sitting on your account, and it’s an intergalactic space adventure you are looking to go on, then this week will see you covered as a new game lands on the service, debuting Day One.
We all know the benefits of Game Pass, whether that be the Xbox or PC version. But for it to keep staying fresh, for it to keep allowing for great gaming experiences, it’s the addition of new games that is key. That’s the case this week, as one new title pops up for play.
Star Trucker is that game and it comes on the back of some end-of-August removals, as Game Pass subscribers saw multiple games shift out, making space for this behemoth.
Star Trucker
Star Trucker hits Game Pass Day One come September 3rd, working a sci-fi trucking adventure where you’ll pilot a rocket-powered big rig, hauling cargo, scavenging for salvage, and interacting with other space truckers.
The game blends Americana-inspired open-road themes with cosmic elements, offering a unique and immersive experience.
As you navigate the galaxy, you’ll take on various trucking jobs, communicate with other truckers to uncover side gigs, and ensure your rig is always in top condition. Monitor systems, repair damage, and upgrade your truck to safely navigate volatile sectors and deliver your cargo on time. Think SnowRunner, but less snow, more space.
You’ll get to plan your routes using a galactic map, warp jump between systems, and enjoy a soundtrack of original space-themed music. This one has been Developed by Monster and Monster, a small indie studio, with Raw Fury behind publishing, as Star Trucker promises a captivating and challenging gameplay experience.
We’ll have a review soon, but grab a download from the Xbox Store come the 3rd.
Star Trucker is an Xbox Series X|S and PC only game. There is no Xbox One love with this one.
Age of Mythology Retold
Age of Mythology Retold is also coming to Game Pass this week (4th Sept), following some early access through the Premium Edition of the game.
What’s next for Game Pass?
The finer details as to what else Game Pass subscribers should be looking forward to are fairly thin on the ground. Expect a few additions, as well as the usual removals come the 15th September and the final day of the month.
For now, it’s all about star trucking, across the universe…
