Xbox Game Pass subscribers are in for a treat this week with three exciting new additions to the library.
Whether you’re a fan of deck-building strategy, hospital management sims, or farming adventures on alien worlds, there’s something for everyone in this week’s lineup.
Monster Train (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Available Now
Monster Train is a unique deck-building roguelike that throws players into a literal hell train, battling their way through the depths of hell to protect the final pyre.
With its innovative vertical three-lane battle system, strategic card combinations, and addictive gameplay loop, Monster Train offers a challenging and rewarding experience for strategy enthusiasts.
Don’t believe us? Well, in our 4.5/5 review of Monster Train, we said: “It says a lot about a game when writing its review makes us want to close the laptop, boot up the Xbox and return to play it. So it is with Monster Train on Xbox… Monster Train is more-ish to the extreme, and we’d worry about our social lives, if there was any social life to be had right now.“
Galacticare (Xbox Series X|S) – Available March 5th
Galacticare takes the hospital management sim genre to the stars, challenging players to build and manage hospitals across the galaxy.
Encounter a variety of bizarre alien species with unique medical needs, deal with unexpected emergencies, and navigate the complexities of intergalactic healthcare. With its quirky humour, challenging scenarios, and addictive gameplay, Galacticare offers a fresh and engaging take on the hospital sim. Â
Our 4.5/5 review of Galacticare praised its “intergalactic powerhouse that’s full of weird and wonderful concepts.” We concluded by saying, “A trip to Galacticare is certainly something you should prepare for, because my professional diagnosis is that it’s a very good hospital sim.“
One Lonely Outpost (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Available March 6th
One Lonely Outpost is a brand-new addition to Game Pass, launching day one on the service.
This farming and colony sim takes players to a barren alien world, where they must terraform the environment, cultivate crops, and build a thriving colony for future colonists. The game features a unique blend of farming, crafting, exploration, and community building, with a touch of mystery surrounding the planet’s past. Â
While One Lonely Outpost has received “Mixed” reviews on Steam during its Early Access phase, its full release promises a more polished and complete experience. Our review is forthcoming, so stay tuned for our impressions of this intriguing new title.
A Diverse Trio of Games
This week’s Game Pass additions offer a diverse range of experiences for subscribers. Whether you’re seeking strategic card battles, intergalactic hospital management, or a relaxing farming adventure on an alien world, there’s something to pique your interest.
So, fire up your Xbox, explore the Game Pass library, and discover your next gaming obsession.
What’s Next for Game Pass?
And what’s to come for Game Pass subscribers? Well, March is looking a bit nifty for new additions, with the arrival of Enter the Gungeon on March 11th and the mad Mullet Madjack on the 13th. From there comes a Game Preview title on March 18th in the form of the intriguing 33 Immortals.Â
Situated somewhere in the middle of those additions though will be the mid-month removal of 7 games. If you haven’t played Evil West, Lies of P, No More Heroes 3, Spongebob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, Yakuza 5 Remastered or Yakuza 6: The Song of Life by March 15th, you’re going to need to be opening the wallet.Â
We’ll be sure to remind you of those new additions, and the leavers, nearer the time.
